Nice looking Yote.... Im interested in hearing more about that 38 WC bullet you mentioned; could you provide some info on this bullet? That Tikka sure looks like a fine rifle. Sounds like those moose ribs rang the dinner bell alright.

Re: brass tumbling film
Some Walnut media will leave a lot of dust inside and outside of the case. After polishing my brass with W.M. I dump the media into a storage bucket and refill the polisher with corncob media sans polish for the final cleaning. YMMV

Re: request: advice for best concentricity
Rick..... Drilled vs. punched primer pockets? Dont you mean flash holes? Also I have read somewhere (recently) that they are no longer drilling flash holes,
but are not punching them like everyone else.

Re: .204 ruger on a deer?
I agree on trying to cut down the range by using a ground blind. Perhaps placing one near a funnel that the deer are using to get to the fields? Ethical shots are an individual decision, but for me I would try to get within the range I would be comfortable with using the .30-06. Always try to get cl...

Three steel tube Weaver scopes 4-sale
I have three "no longer made" steel tube Weaver scopes I would like to sell. Weaver K12-1 with adjustable objective (50-1,000yds.) Weaver K2.5-C3 and a K3-60-C all original bluing and original turret caps included. All used but still in nice shape. Make offer for one or all three. PM's are...

Re: LRPV owners...
My 600yd. load is WW brass, Sierra 39gr. BK bullets, Rem. 7 1/2BR primers and 25.8grs. Reloder 10X. (This load may be over max in some rifles so it is not an endorsement for others to use.) Having the proper equipment and loads is half of the battle, but unless the shooter has the skills and reloadi...

Re: LRPV owners...
To answer your question, no the LRPV repeater does not have three screws. The repeater has a detachable box magazine. They are still using the H.S. Precision stock. I understand that the flutes are deeper on the new LRPV compared to the VLP flutes.

Re: 6mm BR
Mike..... Im not surprised that out of the thousands of rifles that Savage makes that someone at sometime will drop the ball and it will get out the door. I have to admit that the Cooper is a fine looking rifle but I would be willing to bet that they get some back for repair too, perhaps not as many...

Re: 6mm BR
Come on Mike....We all know that deep down you really want to buy a new Savage 12LRPV but your afraid it might outshoot your Cooper.
BTW...Didn't you have to send your Cooper back for repair?

Re: 6mm BR
Rick is right on when he says the VHR is great for hold-offs; I am a Knob Twister too and on my VLP I have a VHR Reticle, but on my LRPV I prefer the Target Dot reticle. Both work very well for me but for me, the Target Dot reticle is less cluttered.

Re: Seating depth query
What you ARE changing by seating the bullet further out is the Expansion Ratio (total volume inside the case plus barrel exposed to powder gases, divided by case capacity). I doubt seating the bullet further out is going to have very much effect on the overall pressure in that case, unless the bulle...

Re: LRPV owners...
Bought a NEW 12LRPV (.204) a month ago and it did not have the fluted barrel (earlier mfg.), and I never had to readjust the target trigger......it is so smooooooooth that after barrel break-in you just cant help but shoot 5 shot groups @ 100yds in the .1's and at 600 yards (over 1/3 mile) mine is s...
