Yes...You can use the Sierra 60gr. Varminter bullet in a 1-14 twist in the .22-250. Load it to 3500-3600 fps. Ballistic Coefficient is .271..... zero in your rifle @ 300yds.

With glassing for prospective targets and checking wind conditions in addition to distance..... 40-60 rounds per hour IMHO sounds reasonable if the rats are willing to comply. If you use a wet towel over the barrel perhaps the count could be higher.
