Indiana cougar!

Local news had a confirmed cougar spotted not four blocks from my home here in Terre Haute IN. Coyotes are getting to be a huge problem on the out skirts of the city, but a cougar! I have a two year old that loves our back yard, may not reach for the .204, but if he was ever in harms way, I would de...

Re: Winchester necks

One of my buddies was just telling me he had gotten some .223 Lapua brass that was on the crappy side of things. When I had my .22BR I was always impressed with the Lapua brass, but the cost!!

Re: Scales not the same?

I agree, about every fifth round, I'll check my scales with a 32 grainer, then a 52 grainer just for a quick check.

Re: Winchester necks

Took a hundred out to the range yesterday still shooting right at five shot half inch groups. Plenty good enough for local varmint hunting. Had to play with the scope a little since trimming the brass back a little more, but not more than a couple clicks here and there. I buy the winchester mainly b...

Re: Primers Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased 2000 cci 400 sm. rifle primers about two weeks ago from Natchez shooter supply, but they seem to be out today. Lots of internet searching, then buy them the second you can find them.

No yotes

Went out to call in some yotes yesterday without much luck. Had one come in fast behind me, but just could not get turned around and on him quick enough. Started to call crows and ended up six, for six before heading back home. Longest shot 174 yds. Still waiting to get some coyote action, but this ...

Re: Got lucky I guess

I have heard both good, and bad on the mueller scopes. I for one happen to like mine. The optics are clear for a scope in this price range, very easy to sight in, holds zero, and love the ultra fine crosshairs with fine dot. I have several high dollar scopes, and for the money, I'd buy another Muell...

Re: Winchester necks

After trimming my cases, the best I can get is 1.838. Is this acceptable?

Winchester necks

Got into a new bag of brass, and the necks are cut on such an angle, that if case trimmed even, the case is way too short to load. I have always used Winchester brass in other calibers, and have not had this bad of a problem. Out of 100 brass, I have 22 that are cut this way. Has anyone else had thi...

Got lucky I guess

Just purchased a new Ruger M77 mark2 in .204 for $462.00. Mounted a Mueller 8.5x25 eraticator scope, and begin to make some test loads. Using winchester brass, cci small primers, 32 grain vmax, and reloader 10x. I just used my lee hand press with RCBS dies. Loaded weight sorted rounds with 25 grains...
