Wouldn't the 6mm/204 be pretty close to a 6mm TCU? I also don't think brass is an issue with the 6*47. You really have lots of choice, and realistically, very few would be bad choices. I love my 6*47, but I suspect that a rifle built to shoot most of the small 6mms would be just as much fun. I've ju...

I'm using Rem 222 RM brass and have no issues with getting it to clean up or with longevity. I guess you could use 204 brass if you really wanted to, esp as the 'smith could allow for the fact that it would be a bit shorter than normal. I really like my 6*47....definitely the go to gun in my safe. M...

Really good round. I've got one on a Rem action (modded to allow longer than 223 length rounds in the magazine), fluted #5 barrel, HS stock and Canjar trigger. I normally shoot the 70 gr Sierra BK at about 3100 fps, using about 28 gr of powder. The 87 Vmax can be pushed up to about 2800 fps, and the...

I purchased two LVSFs at the end of 2005. One, in 204, was for my wife, and the other, in 221 for me. The 204 was pretty much immediately moved to a HS stock and converted to a BDL. Nevertheless, when shot in the original stock, it produced groups of around 1 moa from Hornady factory 32 and 40 gr am...

I've had one 17 mach iv, built on a Sako 461. Also had two 221 Fireballs, one on the little Sako action, and the other a Rem LVSF. Whilst I like the Fireball, and the mach iv, I won't do one again, especially on a Rem action (that rifle is currently off being rechambered to 222 Rem Mag). Magazine is...

Another Aussie. My name is John and I live in Melbourne, Victoria. I'm an airline pilot for a living, so I spend half of my life away from home....and as much of the other half as I can manage out in the fields. 50 years old, married, with a 19 year old son. My wife is my main shooting buddy...she l...
