Re: Start over......or not?
I worked up the 32VMax in my 26"Encore and I am at 28.1 Benchmark with 3889 and it don't act like it want's to hit 4000 and so many list over 4000 with that bullet :wall: I would go 24.8,24.9,25.0,25.1,25.2,25.3,25.4,25.5,25.6,25.7 and load like 3 rounds of each and shoot over a chrono and see ...

anyone use a 28" 223 prohunter barrel
Hi all. I was wondering if any one used the 28" prohunter T/C barrels for Encore and how they rate compared to the 26" heavy 223 Rem barrel if anyone has used both. Are they just as accurate or not? Did it or does it chrono faster, slower than your 26" Just looking for some input,I hav...

Re: Need a new rifle
First I would agree with others that 25-06 is harder to find ammo.
I load 58 Hornady V Max in my 243 700 Rem and it shoots pretty flat to 300 yds and deer drop like they was stuck by lightning.
Another plus is all the bullets for 6mm-243 should you reload .
I will vote 243![party1 :party1:](./images/smilies/party1.gif)

Re: Am I not doing enough?
I found the size trick on my own one day. I was working on some 243 new brass with a Lee collet die to get the necks round. I noticed the case kinda drug up in the die a bit, I spun it a little and run it back up and it still drug some but alot less so I did it again and no contact as if it got stra...

Re: Am I not doing enough?
I am not a 204 pro but just getting a good start with it. I use hornady dies. I have found at the range testing loads side by side with 223,204 the 204 is a picky little thing and the 223 shot most all loads great. both guns are T/C Encore's with 26" barrels. One thing you did not say and can b...

Re: Twist rate ?
yes you need the 1/9 if you are shooting up to ubout 105 gr bullets? for 107-115 you are better with a 1/8 or 1/7 twist.the 1/14 would be for light bullets like 58 vmax for an all around gun if you are loooking at remington the sps varmint has 1/9½ i think it is and you could shoot the 58's all t...

Re: ammo and reloading components bubble?
I have had a heck of a time finding reloading stuff also.
A employee at walmart said some one was in and bought $800.00
in 22 shells.

Re: How sooped up can you load a 30-30?
Why are you necking down the 375 win.? Is regular 30-30 brass not strong enough. From what I've read, the Encore pistol load would be pretty good if shot from a 26-28" barrel. The loads I have are way over max for a 3030 published loads. I used the 375 as it is heavier brass than 3030 this wou...

Re: Any Michigan Hunters
I am from alma. I am also just getting started in coyote hunting etc. I blasted a fox yesterday and got me a crow today. I put a caller togather and use a sd card to put sounds on a play with a mp3 player and horn speaker. I have not got my 204 barrel yet ,I am hunting with my 243 and 58gr VMax bull...

My 243 loves H4350 with Hornady 87hp and Speer 105sp
Varget does very well with the Hornady 58 VMax.
