i didn't have my rangefinder on me, but i put him at about 200 yards.

yeah, one of the sides of my rifle was a bright red.

I shoot a remington model 700 VTR .204 ruger. using 40gr v-max hornady factory rounds. killed this coyote with one shot in the lungs. it didn't stop him in his tracks, but it really messed him up. he got bout 30 yards max (fall 30yards i should say). yeah, i had a feeling the bergers would get a lot of thumbs up. I will definitely try them out once i get reloading. also, does anybody have any great 'recipes' for reloading the .204 that they have found successful?

35 gr bergers OR 40 gr hornady v-max

i am considering purchasing my own reloading equipment pretty soon here and was wondering what your guys' opinions were on both these bullets. i am shooting the 40 gr Hornady's right now and they do the job, but i have heard a lot of people swear by the bergers. also, does anybody have any suggestio...

39 gr sierra blitz kings factory loads?

i was at my local gun shop when i noticed on the shelves they were carrying the 39 gr sierra blitz king factory load. didn't think they did that. anybody have any experience with the factory loads? how about the 39 gr bullet in particular? good for coyotes?

i have the same question, they seem perfect for yotes because they have have controlled expansion for deeper penetration. i know its possible to kill a yote with a 32 gr allowing for good shot placement, but why not grab every advantage you can get, right?
