Re: 9-6-10 Coyote

Jason,

A big "alright" on the coyote. I am seeing more and more corn fields getting picked so that means it's time to start coyote hunting. Fall approaching is more exciting than Christmas to me!

Re: New Acquisition and Question

OldTurtle, I have both, the American and the Varmint. Both had wood touching the barrel so I used a dowel rod and sand paper on them both and then sealed them. They both like the 39 SBK pushed by 28.0 of H-4895 ( This load works well in my gun but may not in yours. Load with CAUTION ). I have shot ...

Re: North Dakota PD Hunt--Looooong Report with GRAPHIC Pics!!!

SF,

Thanks for sharing your shoot with us. Every time I see the country up there I picture what it would look like 200 years ago when the buffalo and Indians were roaming free. In country like that, I think I could just sit all day and take in the scenery.

Re: The 12th Annual Rat Rodeo - 204 Style

Rick,

Looks like a fun time. I enjoyed the pictures and story as always. Thanks for sharing. Thank goodness squirrel season starts here Sunday, it's been real boring here this summer with only moles in the yard to stalk but I have thinned the herd!

2010 Nebraska Trip

Wed. morning, 6/2, my nephew Clint (Clint E here on the board) and I headed out at 6:00 a.m. to Nebraska to shoot prairie dogs with our good friend Dave (dancindave here on the board). We arrived at Grand Island around 3:00 p.m. to take a tour of the Hornady plant. They have added on since I was the...

Re: Weekend trip part 1

majcl5,

I like the launch pictures too! I think I have to agree with you on the 204 launching them better than the 22-250. I shoot the 32 V-Max and the 39 S.B.K's against the 50 V-Max and the prairie dogs just seem to come apart better with the .204.

Re: My New 204 Meets Skippy Part I

Man, Rick,

After seeing your pictures, I'm getting excited about our P.D. trip next month. Thanks for sharing your shoot and with pictures too! It's always neat to see other parts of the country where the members here hunt.

Hey, Glen from Ohio

Glen, I thought of you the other day when I was looking at one of my projects. I recently had to have a section of telephone cable replaced that had gone bad and while doing so, I saw a groundhog run into it's hole next to a culvert. It was probably the reason the cable had gone bad. I went out to ...

Re: Skippy Flies AGAIN in 2010! Part II (Pics)

Rick,

Great write up and really enjoy the Skippy "acrobat" pictures. Skippy and friends, brought to you in parts sponsored by the .204.

Now I'm getting excited about our trip to Neb. to shoot some prairie dogs.

Ahh! the smell of burnt gun powder in the air! Isn't it Great?

Time for repairs

About a month ago I went to replace the boards on the front of my 100 yard backstop and found this when I removed them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v724/melvin54/P1010013-6.jpg So, after fixing it I went to my 25 yard backstop to replace it's boards and found this. http://img.photobucket.com/a...

1st Season

Last Monday, the 12th, was our first of five Turkey seasons for the north half of the state. I had first season and have 4th season permits. The morning before I was standing in an alfalfa field next to a hay bale, about half a mile from the truck as the first hint of light started to show on the ho...

Re: speer bullets

Hey Glenn, I was thinking like you that maybe Speer wasn't interested in making any .20 caliber bullets. I see their B.C. for the 39 isn't quite what the Sierra's are. I'm curious to see what their bullets will look like and what kind of a price they will have on them. http://www.speer-bullets.com/b...

Re: A double this afternoon

RUDY,

It's addictive. It 's a good way to spend the off seasons and another reason to get out of the house.

If you try it and get one, remember, we like pictures!
