Re: Last Fall's Buck

Mike, The doe in the picture is the first deer my son Lucas shot with a shotgun here in IL. The picture below was taken back in 2006 and has Lucas's first bow kill deer at age 15 (1996). He started off right. His deer is the one in the lower left. It was a 10 point and field dressed at 255 lbs. I we...

Re: Glenn or Glen

Just about all of my post have been in the last two years. Does this mean they are lost forever.

Glenn or Glen

I noticed a lot of my older post are gone since the board has had a facelift. Are they lost forever or are they going to show up again?

Last Fall's Buck

I picked up my mount of a buck I shot last fall on opening day of the firearms season here in Illinois. Here are a few pictures. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v724/melvin54/P1010016-2.jpg He's on the left. The other one I shot in 2003 with a muzzleloader. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v724/m...

Re: Cheyenne's Coyote

Mr. T,

The pictures are fine and the story too! It's good you took the time to take her with you and let her see what it's all about. You may have created a new hunting companion. Maybe the next time you'll be posting a picture of her coyote!

Re: New 204 ruger owner - hello out there

Welcome aboard Cshooter. The .204 will surprise you what it can do. I've killed coyotes out to 332 yards with mine. Where in IL do you live? I may be close to you. You're in the right place for finding info on the .204. A lot of experienced folks on here willing to help you out with any questions yo...

I have to vote for the 39 BK. I've had my best accuracy with them and best performance on coyotes and prairie dogs. CZ 527 Varmint

What birds are you training for? Pheasant, quail? I have a friend that is an avid quail hunter that might know someone if that's what you're looking for.

I'm shooting the 39 gr. Sierra B.K. with 28.0 Gr. of H4895. They're averaging a little over 3850 f.p.s. out of my CZ 527 Varmint.

Summer time coyote

My usual routine is to get up around 5 AM, put the coffee on and slip out onto the deck to see what kind of day it's going to be and to see if anything is out in the field. It's not unusual to see deer down at the end of the field or out in the neighbor's bean field. Sometimes they are in my yard. T...

Rick,

I always enjoy reading your post about your hunts. It's neat to see other parts of the country where you guys hunt. I wish we had lots of little targets around here to shoot at like you have.

Keep the pictures coming!
