Re: Tough day in Colorado

Glad you guys are seeing some coyotes. I've been doing a lot of bow hunting for deer and we just went through our first 3 day deer firearms season and I haven't seen a one. Haven't heard many howling either. Congratulations to both of you and thanks for sharing your hunt.

11/4/11 Deer (Mount pictures added 12/18/11)

Back on Nov. 4th, I took the afternoon off from work to go bow hunting for the first time this season. We’ve had a lot of warm weather up till now and it just didn’t seem like deer season to me yet. The bucks were now in rut and Lucas was on vacation so I decided it was time to get serious about hun...

Now there is a hunt you'll remember! Congratulations on two "quick" coyotes. They have some nice looking fur on them.

Re: Ruger LC9.........

Well.... the wife picked up her LC9 a couple weeks ago, but hasn't had time to get out with me to shoot it, but I did. I'm impressed with the way it shoots and feels for a small gun. If she decides she doesn't like it, I'll take care of it for her. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v724/melvin54/11-...

First coyote for this season 10/15/11

A week ago last Saturday morning, I went out to a creek bottom I’ve been watching for the last few weekends since we had taken out the corn to see what kind of deer movement was going on. I had been getting out to the big bottom before daylight and just sitting and watching and if a coyote presented...

Coyote from the past.

I recently found some pictures from the past and came across some of a coyote I had shot back in Dec. of 2001. It was the three day muzzle loader deer season and I was sitting in a stand over looking a new wheat field when I saw a pair of coyotes come through the field entrance and walk down the fie...

Re: Ruger LC9.........

Keith in Ga,
I had my wife handle the LC9 and the SR9c and she liked the feel of the LC9 better so we're thinking about getting her one since she has an interset in having her own hand gun.

What are the pro's and con's of the gun so far?

Re: 32 v-max for coyotes

DoubleUp,

Have you thought about shooting the collared coyote and attaching the collar to a cross country running semi truck? That would stump the DOC about how far a coyote would migrate!

Re: Max of H4895 with 39gr Blitzkings?

leojlafrog, I also load 28.0 grains of H4895 behind the 39 gr. SBK using WW brass and Rem. 7 1/5 primers. I haven't seen any signs of pressure in my rifles but yours my be different. I did a little experiment back in Sept. 2008 to see how my rifles shot this load and was surprised how well they did...

Re: Last season

K22, Do what ever you can to help her enjoy the hunts so she will want to do it more. I think it's really neat to see a women/girl out hunting, especially when they show up the guys. dozernomore, I shoot 65 gr. V-Max in my .243 also and they will definitely put down a coyote (works real good on &qu...
