Some pictures

Since it's a slow time of the year hunting/shooting, I thought I would post some pictures I've been fortunate to take of nature. Hope you don't mind me posting them. This young Robin flew down from it's nest a couple days ago and landed on the railing of my deck. It didn't mind me getting close for ...

Re: Have you ever used Kodak Easyshare

I use Easy Share. After I down load from my camera and view the pictures in the easy share program, I right click on the pictures I want and "save as" to my desk top. Then I go to photobucket and when I go browse I go to my desk top and select the picture. There may be a better way but thi...

brokeasajoke, You can get a 5 day Non-resident license for $28.75. You may want to check out the IDNR site (http://dnr.state.il.us/admin/systems/Digest/Digest.pdf) on page 4 to be sure. Even thought our crops around here are just now getting planted due to the wet weather, the fields will be tall e...

Neat Father's Day Gift!

My new Nail Gun, made by Dewalt. It can drive a 6-D nail thru a 2 X 4 at 200 yards. This makes construction a real breeze. You can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence. Just get the wife and kids to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back, relax with a cold beer. When they have the boa...

Glenn,

Darrell and I are the ones that talked to the Speer guy and that's when he pulled out his pad and asked what kind of bullet we would like to see them produce.

Re: Hooooo weeeeeee that NRA Annual Meeting was the place to be!

As Glenn said, It's was a Great show. Friday morning I got up at 2:00 am and went to meet my friend Darrell at his house. We left there at 3:30 and headed for Louisville. We arrived at the show right at 10:am. We were going to meet Glenn on the way in, but got caught up in the heavy traffic and miss...

Re: Getting frustrated with my CZ Varmint

lakoda, I don't know what your cleaning procedure is but on my CZ Varmint I've noticed that when I start loosing accuracy, I have to give it a good cleaning. Last weekend I was shooting my Savage 12VLP and all of a sudden I was throwing 3 and 4 inch flyer's at 200 yards. I gave it a good cleaning a...

Re: Wally-World to create gun buyers database

We had an older Wal-mart in Carlinville and it was an OK store. Like Glenn said, after Sam died, Wal-Mart changed. They just built a small super store that opened last year and I don't go there any more than I have to. Not many people in the community like it. Carlinville has a town square and there...

Re: NRA Convention-May '08

Three friends and I are planning on being there on Friday. If you've never been to one and have the opportunity to go, it's worth the trip. Not only do you get to see all the new toys like Glenn mentioned, but you get to talk to the writers and editors of your favorite magazines. Last year I got to ...

Re: 1st season, 1st day, 1st hour

bullfrog,

We have 5 back to back seasons here in IL. You have to apply for which season you want (and hope to get) in a lottery. You can get up to 2 permits. I had first season, Lucas has 2nd season (now), my wife has 3rd season and Lucas and I both have 5th season.
