First fox with 204

I set up a shooting range on Saturday at my brother-in-laws. I set targets out a 1,2 and 375. I built a nice bench and it is going to be an awesome place to shoot. The bench faces south and there was about a 12 mph wind out of the east (just a little background on the day). My brother-in-law had bee...

Howa 1500 Loads

Shot a bunch of rounds this past weekend.....the Howa ate up the 39 BK's and the 32? Bergers. I don't remember whether I loaded with Varget or Bench in each one. The Bergers shot awesome at all my load weights. I will have to look at my notebook, but the one I'm going to settle on had two overlappin...

Re: To the lands

My measurement of 2.083 was to the bullet ogvie (using comparator). My overall case length needed to get to the lands was 2.4 and change...which, in my opinion, would not leave near enough bullet in the case. Therefore, I understand that I won't be able to get close to the lands....just looking to s...

To the lands

Okay....just measured to the lands in my howa 1500, 204 using the hornady oal guage and bullet comparator. I'm coming up with 2.083 using a 40 gr. berger. Does this sound like it would be in the ballpark??? When I figure out OAL, I take my bullet measurement from tip to tip (undersanding that this c...

Re: Limited reloading supplies in stock.

I went 9 papges deep on google before I found cci 450m's. However, I had to do some calling around, but finally found a supply locally. Picked up all they had (2000) and also found varget and benchmark to boot...the guy told me he orders every week....so I'll be back!!!

OAL and Saami specs

I'm new to realoading and have spent a great deal of time reading posts on here as well as reading a couple of reloading books. I need some clarification on the oal and saami. As I look in my reloading manual, I see the SAAMI specs for the 204 are 2.260. Now, I've read some posts here that have gone...

Re: Tell us about yourself...

Hello, My name is Justin. I live in Nebraska. I do a lot of upland game hunting, judge/run on the NBDCA dog circuit, and chase whitetails around. I just got a Howa .204 for Christmas. My grandfather is a gunsmith and he put it together for me. Just dropped a timney trigger in it and still looking at...
