The splashes I'm talking about blew on the surface and no penetration or not enough to kill. Just made a big red spot, the badger and coyote both got away.

Went up in the high country today looking for Columbians. We shot several, me with my .218 Bee and my buddy with his Ruger AR .223. This is the only one we were able to get a picture of. I just checked the Hodgdon site. I've been using Lil' Gun in my 218 Bee and really like it but I might have to try that CFE BLK. Good velocity for such a small case.

Couldn't you just start with 218 Bee loads and work up?
