Re: Problem

Lol, I sized a few cases to finish up where I left off when the case broke off. Everything worked fine.

Re: Problem

Yeah, full length sizing die, not a rifle chamber. I wouldn't attempt a rifle chamber like that no way. Seems like it would be hard to find a tap and all thread the exact right size. Anyway, I got it out and all is well.

Re: Problem

Yeah, I'm going to have to inspect the cases better before I run them in the die.

Re: Problem

I used a sharp awl and got between the case and the die in two places. That loosened it up, then I pulled it out with needle nose pliers. Inspected it with a light and there was no damage so I cleaned it real good with WD40, dried it out good and put it back together. Ready to go now.

Re: Problem

No, I haven't. Someone suggested freezing, that didn't work. Maybe I'll try heat.

Problem

I had a case head come off while sizing and now the remainder of the case is stuck in my die. I've been reloading since 1968 and never had this happen. I guess in my old age I just didn't check the cases as good as I should have before sizing. They are L C brass and I thought once fired. Anyway does...

Re: Badger

We were out shooting squeaks again yesteray. My buddy got another badger with his 6 m/m Rem. 75 gr. Barnes Verminatpr. 124 yds., female, 15 lbs. 11 oz. The bullet made a pretty good mess, went in the left eye, there was so much blood we couldn't tell where it exited. We didn't want to handle it t 20...

Re: New Member

I don't post a lot on here but I do shoot a 204 R. It;s A Rem. 700 SPS. I use BLC (2) with 32 gr. and 40 gr. bullets. It has always been very accurate and decent velocities. I have never tried any other powder, I figure if it aint broke don't fix it.Try some Nosler Varmageddlon 32 gr. They are cheap...

Rock chucks

On Tuesday I went out with a couple friends to shoot a few Idaho chucks. We got about 12 of them. It was a really nice morning, clear, no wind, we got a few. Then in the afternoon the wind came up and before long it was blowing pretty hard. The only ones we could see then were between 400 and 600 yd...

Re: Badger

Yeah, Ive had farmers/ranchers tell me to shoot every badger I see. This one he shot with the 6 m/m was a no exit either. Hardlly ever an exit on badgers. You can use a bullet that will almost tear a coyote in half and all you get on a badger is an entrance wound. I did shoot one at 111 yds. with my...
