Re: Remington 700 VLS 204
I have a Rem. 700 VLS and am very pleased with it. All I did was adjust the trigger and take the bumps out of the forend barrel channel. Loaded with the Nosler 32. grain Varnmageddon and BLC(2) powder I shot a .169 group. All other bullets I've tried have shot 1" or less. I'd think you would be...

Re: I hate collared doves
Here in Idaho they're considered an invasive species. The F & G wants them gone. You cant shoot them any way, any time, no limit. I think they're her to stay though, seeing more and more of them.

Re: powder producing fastest velocity
BLC(2) is pretty fast and really accurate in my .204. Shot a .169 group with it and 32 gr. Nosler Varmageddon bullet.

Re: Load for Nosler 40 BT
The most accurate bullet in my .204 has been the Nosler 32 gr. Varmageddon but I use BLC(2) powder. No experience with the two powders you have.

Re: Remington Accutip
They're just a Hornady V-Max with a differnt color tip. I've used them in my .204, they worked good, just like the V-Max.

Re: Best load with Hornady vmax 40 gns Please
jam1e, BLC(2) is about all I use in my .204. I shoot 30 gr., Win. brass, Rem. 71/2 primers with the 40 gr. V-Max. That is pretty much max. so work up to it. I get 3/4" to 1" groups with that load. The most accurate bullet I've used in my rifle is the 32 gr. Norma Varmageddon. Bob

I remember that ad for the .17 O'Brien in the 60's. I lived in Vegas at the time he was making those guns there. Sure wish I'd bought one.

Re: Varmageddons reviews
They are very accurate in my Rem. 700 VLS. I shot one group that measured .169. All I've killed with them is one badger, just a small caliber sized entrance and no exit. Big male, he just rolled over on his back, DRT.

I have a rem. 700 VLS, heavy barrel,.204. I had the trigger tuned and adjusted to 3 lbs. then I sanded out the lumps in the barrel channel. It is really acurate. I shot a .169 group with 32 gr. Nosler Varmageddons.

Re: I did a very bad thing
Once, years ago when I was married, I bought my wife a new Rem. 1100, 28 ga. for her birthday. (she didn't shoot) Just about caused a divorce right then. But, she's long gone and I still have the shotgun, which turned out to be one of my favorites.

I use 7/8" patches and prefer a nylon brush.

Re: Aussie rounds hit USA
Oh yeah, I see that now. Just wasn't paying attention I guess......again! Or maybe it's just old age creeping up. Do you shoot many dingo's? I've always wondered about them. How big do they get? I'd liketo come to your country some time and hunt varmints.

I take that back. The first coyote I killed with my .218 Bee was with 35 gr. V-Max. 176 yds. DRT, never quivered. We couldn't find an entrance and there was no exit. That happened in Wyoming. The sec ond one was at 26yds. with 40 gr. V-Max. That was here in Idaho.

Re: 204 Ruger
They will kill coyotes, I've seen several killed with plastic tipped bullets and have killed them myself with them. The last one I killed was with a 60 gr. V-Max in my .22/250. I've killed two with 40 gr. V-Max in my .218 Bee. Bob
