Re: stockys gunstocks
I bought a stock from Stocky's last year, and for me the stock is great. By no means did it fit perfectly or drop in. I had to do LOTS of extra sanding and trimming, and ultimately re-finish the whole stock. The stock got in the way of the trigger assembly, and I had to trim a lot of it away just to...

Re: Something Special.
Holy Cow! Those are some amazing rifles! I think I am gonna go for something a LOT less artistic though. I don't think I could live with myself if I put a scratch or nick in one of those pieces! I am really liking the look of the Coopers, but would prefer to not have a single shot.

Something Special.
Recently my grandpa passed away due to several forms of cancer, and old age. For some reason he left me as the only beneficiary on his life insurance plan. I have no need for the money and I would like to buy something that I will never get rid of, so I can always remember him. In all honesty I cant...

Re: Chicken Thief?
I know very little about the cage traps, I usually go for footholds, or connibear type traps. Yeah, same thing I have. It's not actually a clip. But a box, that rests in the stock. Where the extra shells are held. The edge of the box sometimes sticks up, and gets in the way of the extra shells when ...

Re: Chicken Thief?
Well, That's a tough one! What I would do personally is get a foothold trap or two and some chicken feathers, or something from small game like that. I often use the tail from a squirrel, and let me tell ya that works flawlessly every time. Anyway, You said you followed where the animal took the las...
Re: New Scope
The groundhogs are FINALLY back out, and now that I can drive myself around I have been getting out a lot more. I gotta say, this Nikon I have is AMAZING. The adjustments are accurate and I can see a whole lot more than I use to. I am overall extremely happy with the performance of my monarch. Alrea...

Brass for Reloads?
Hey everyone, I see you all have been looking for brass occasionally and I was thinking I might try and make a trade off with one of you! I was thinking something along the lines of 2 or 3 boxes of once fired Hornady brass for a box of good tested 39g SBK reloads. Anyone interested? (Really just thr...

Custom Rifle?
I was doing my usual internet wandering yesterday, and happened to land on the savage website. I saw that they sell their actions, and I am now strongly considering building my next gun off of a savage action. I really like the way they are set up and what not. The one thing I am completely lost on ...

Re: Free Floating
Howdy! I just recently free floated my barrel, I'll admit it isn't the BEST job out there. But you have to be looking pretty dang hard for mistakes to find them. All I did was got something around the same size as the barrel (a highlighter in this case) and wrapped her up with sandpaper. Slid it up ...

Winchester Model 70
Anyone have or used one? I was considering saving up for one in 243 or maybe 270. Since I am FINALLY done with my 204!

Congratulations with the nice coyotes! And I wish you the best of luck with your upcoming child!
WTB Bipod
Need a new bipod for my 204! Something happened to the one I have now, and it always sits crooked. I guess it did alright though, its only been around about 40 years.. Looking for something in the 9-13 range w/ notches in the legs.
Thanks!

Re: The Bedding Job Was A HUGE Success
I used the acraglas gel kit. My advice would be to tape off your gun BEFORE you even open the box. I didn't and got all excited and almost ruined my gun.. Luckily, with a little elbow grease I was able to fix er' up and it shoots better than ever now

The Bedding Job Was A HUGE Success
Took the 204 down to my buddies cabin to try and shoot some coyotes or whatever, and give the new scope a test of course. All this being after my rather sketchy bedding job. I was extremely pleased to find my remington cuts holes @ 200 yards now, and shoots about .4 in groups @ 300, but I am assumin...

Remington 700 Magazine Follower?
I have been having troubes lately with my magazine follower on my Remington. When I push the bolt forward it kind of jumps out of place, and as the bolt keeps moving it sometimes get jammed up. I have tried fiddling around with the magazine spring, but not much luck there. Anyone having similar trou...
