Re: New Scope

Got the scope in the mail today, and I gotta say.. it really puts my Leupold to shame.. There is one thing I saw that is odd to me though, the turrets are not centered! I don't know if this is bad, or good, or what to make of it! it doesn't bother me any, I just hope its not a big deal! http://i549....

Re: New Scope

Thanks Rick, I think I am really leaning towards the Nikon Monarch 4-16X42. I really like everything Nikon has done with it. I Think that Leupold is just selling their warranty to be honest. I have heard from several others that the Monarchs are neck and neck with the VX-III's and they are about 100...

Re: New Scope

Ok, I have been looking all over creation and have narrowed it down to a few different models. I am at a complete stand still here as well, so I REALLY need someone to help me out here! :wall: Leupold VX-III 6.5-20 Leupold VX-III 4.5-14 Nikon Monarch 4-16 Nikon Monarch 6-24 Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16 ...

Re: New Scope

Thats what I think I want but some recent thought has me reconsidering, is that a little too much scope for the 204? and I live in Ohio too, not too many long shots around here. What do you recommend? I was thinking maybe drop down to the 14x? or go with Nikon and get a 16x? or should I stay where I...

Re: New Scope

Ok, I have managed to save up 613 bucks. And I still need a new scope for my 204! I think I am going to bump up to a VX-III 6.5-20 since they are on sale. I found one for 515 dollars, but I want to get everyone's opinion here first. What scope is going to be the best in the $500-575 ish range? Thank...

Re: Refinishing My Stock

Glen, that rub on poly you suggested sure did the trick, I put on coat after coat after coat, and that stock looks wonderful now. IMHO I think it looks better than it did when I got it in the mail! I had a ton of problems with dust though, couldn't do it outside because it would freeze before it dri...

Re: Ceramic Bore liner?

I must say this is either really really cool, or an extremely bad idea.. If it works (which I would expect it to at 80 bucks a pop) I would totally go for it, if not.. I'll pass on trying to get that out of my rifling.. Just like my dad always says "If it's too good to be true.. guess what? IT ...

Re: WTT Master F1 Chronograph for 204 brass

I have a few boxes of Hornady brass. not cleaned or anything because I don't reload. If you'd like to have them, just pay for the shipping and they are yours.

Re: Refinishing My Stock

I assume you mean polyurethane by "poly"? and is that essentially the same thing as a clear coat? I just want to keep this thing protected is all.
