Re: ? On accuracy?

I've got a Rem 700 204 that needs a cleaning every 50 or 75 rds in order to stay accurate. My JP barrel goes 200+ and very slowly loses accuracy beyond that. I've shot it 700 rds without copper cleaning the barrel and it still grouped my loads under 1.1"... which is all I ask of it. The only ca...

Re: Decapping die?

I've been using the RCBS case lube die. It's been a while, but I think I had to remove the decapper from my .204 die set and put it in the lube die. So far it's been a nice, clean solution to lubing and removing spent primers.

JP Ent 22" barrel in .204 with silver heat sink (... cause it looks good...) and adjustable gas block DPMS slickside upper (with felt tape where the brass deflector would be) Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x50 with BDC in a LaRue mount JP VTac hand guards Accu-Shot monopod and a cheap bipod up front on a ...

Savage 12, single shot, used--- $470

Is this something I should pick up? I have seen most 12's going for $550 IIRC.

Edit: It has a poorly mounted, cheap scope with cheap rings and base(s)

Re: AR 15 trigger

Stay away from Jard! Too hard to adjust properly (if you get the adjustable...). Compared to my CMMG, Chip McC and RRA triggers, the Jard doesn't even come close to making the cut; it does, however, have a very lean 2.0 lb. pull (gritty and creepy, though). Check PK Firearms, they only list what the...

First loads using Benchmark and 32 gr SBK

Finally got some calm weather up here in the UP of MI to do some more testing. Decided to try Benchmark with my Winchester brass and Federal Match primers. From first picture to last: 25.5 gr (four shot group, rounds on the right were Varget 27.0 gr, same bullets, brass, primer... to 'check zero') 2...

Could some one pop in and elaborate on this... or tell me where to read about it?

Re: Reloading for 0 deg. F to 100 deg. F

I was hoping Varget would be OK to use... Here's the full story: I have all my loading equipment in the U.P. of Michigan and the weather was cold when I had the time to test loads. I want to hand my rifle off to my brother for prairie dog shooting this summer but don't want to make him buy factory ...

Reloading for 0 deg. F to 100 deg. F

Varget is giving me groups no bigger than .9" out of my AR with JP barrel (3x10 shot groups averaged...). Will Benchmark hold consistency over the temp. range? I am using Winchester brass (all that was available...), Federal Match primers, Sierra 32 and 39 gr BlitzKing bullets (both show same g...

Re: What I just Learned

This conversation makes me feel OK about seating my bullets deep enough to fit in my AR magazines. I have a barrel from JP Rifles: It is 2.323” to the lands using Sierra Blitzking 39 gr bullets. The longest possible length for bullets to be magazine fed is 2.275”. I load to a COAL of 2.2...
