I too have all calibers for PD hunting and my favorite is the 204, my second is the 22-250 then the 220 Swift. Since I have gotten the 204 I find my self using it more so now I have to get another and that really upsets me.....

Snowing like crazy here. Looking out the kitchen window aand aa big crow landed in a tree about 100 yards from my back door, I couldn't stand it 204 w/ 40 gr the feathers floated for ever it seemed like beautiful site all them black feathers in that snow.....

I have a Rem 700 SPS Vatrmint 204 I loaded 40 gr vmax w/ varget 28.1 in winchester brass and primers. 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. Hate to hear about your problem but I am going to KEEP MINE

I loaded some 40 gr w 28.1 grains varget, wincester brass and primers. 5 shots 1/2 inch group 100 yards. I was impressed. I am going to loa some with IMR 4064 and see what happens. Just haven't decided on a starting load yet anybody tries this combo yet?

I use the same powder, but I never mix them. I use it until it is gone then start with new. My brother in law will mix his old and pour into the new, but it is the same type.....

Dave, They are on the low end of Leupold line. I had one mounted on a rimfire and it was alright, my next one that I bought I upgraded to the VX-II now that is a whole new scope. If you can afford to save up a little more an get you something better you will be glad in the long run.......I was

I kinda have the same problem here this year, back in the summer you could hear them every night. This winter its like they moved to Florida, nothing.....oh well we have a hunt planned for next week again.....who knows maybe we will get lucky...nice shooting....
