Maybe a hard nose approach should be taken. ANY modifications would be considered custom. So no trigger jobs, no floating, no bedding, no lapping, etc. Let factory be just that, the way it came from the factory. The only exception i can see if your rifle had a trigger that came from the factory tha...

Sounds like you got a real shooter there. I'm not a hunter but .600 should be plenty accurate for whacking coyotes for now. I'll defer to Lyn on the 34's hide saving abilitys. If your not reloading already you will be. The 204 has that effect on people. When you do you should'nt have to much trouble...

+1 on the Thanks. Question. When you say a factory rifle cannot be re barreled are you referring to another (same manufacturer) factory barrel or do you mean an aftermarket (custom) tube. The powers that be in the BR world recently began drawing up rules for a factory class bench rest program in ord...

There was a discussion about crimping, not too long ago. Some seemed to think that you needed to crimp AR ammo and others seemed to think it wasn't necessary. What's your take? Pros or Cons either way? If you have tried both ways, does crimping reduce accuracy in your rifle??? I just had to ask. :w...

Lapua is all I use in my 308 Win custom tube. Have loaded some up to twenty times with no problems. Might still be using them if not for my mistake. I set my shoulder bump die deep for another barrel then forgot to reset it for the custom. The old brass couldn't take that much stretching. Had to tos...

My first three Savage tubes shot 40's just like that. 35 Bergs ended up being the bullet of choice in those three. My latest tube shoots the 40 Bergs well. As we discussed I'm having a bit of a problem with neck expansion on both Hornady and Nosler brass with the N-135 running them 3730fps :? I have...

I have no expierience with Lapua 223 brass. Lapua 308 Win brass is known to have less case capacity than most other factory offerings putting it in a class like LC military stuff. Less capacity equals higher pressures and increased velocity per equal weight charge. While your friend may be following...

Sounds like your chamber is a touch out of round near the shoulder. What type of 204 are we talking about? Rem,Sav etc. Theres more at fault here than your die. If your necksizing the die will not size the body anyway. What I find odd is the fact you cannot noticably measure any difference in the ca...

First off take one of the rounds that is the tightest. Color the whole brass with magic marker. Then try to close the bolt on it. You should be able to easily see where its contacting the chamber. If you have an unloaded piece of brass thats always the safest way to go. Otherwise you'd be well advis...

I'm glad to hear Pac-Nor will correct it if need be. If they find this mysterious reamer tell em to hang on to it. We might all be ordering tubes cut with it if yours shoots good ;) I just tried for the first time the 208gn A-Max in a factory Savage 308 Win barrel. The base was WELL below the should...

jo191145 You mean you've never tried seating bullets upside down before? I thought a competition shooter like yourself would have tried that one. You may be on to something there Skipper. When I play darts I always hold them by the point and flip em to the target. I quess if I want to try loading b...
