Re: How far out for bronze brush ?!!
Back in the days of excessive brushing I would throw out a Dewey brush if it could be reversed in the bore. Now I stroke ten times or so no matter how many rounds down the tube. I have on occasion gone 200rds without cleaning. That would equal 2000 strokes  I use JB or Iosso paste if my throat ...

Re: vv133 and the 204 equals easy success
Congratulations on your accuracy. Can't argue with .380 at 150yds. Sounds like a nice rifle you've got there. FWIW I haven't done a lot of work with 133 but I have done some. 133 is a fast burning powder for the 204 by most accounts. Of course burn rate charts are notoriously screwy. You are definat...

Re: 204 Ruger dot com Postal Shoot Info and what not.
I've done two practice runs this week and this shoot is tougher than it sounds. Many sessions at the range have produced some fine groups with my Savage. But shooting three good ones in a row for record is difficult. One marginal shot and one poor shot will ruin the effort of thirteen good ones. I ...

(Off Subject) Cool Young Buck
Thought I'd relay my experience on my home range today. Due to oppressive heat and oppressive work loads I haven't been doing much shooting lately. Decided to bite the bullet and get out there today. My range is basically just a swath cut through the Connecticut jungle. Today I set up my equipment o...

Re: Moly or not to Moly...that is the question.
FWIW I use #4 steel shot for plating media with both moly and WS2. Always separately of course, the two are NOT interchangeable. The smaller shot can be sifted much easier from .20cal pills than the ceramic media that came with the kit. As far as the tips go no damage. I've plated old lead tipped sp...

Re: Cleaning copper out of bore?
Wipe out is good stuff for copper. I would suggest cleaning the carbon out first with a mild solvent and brush. Dry the bore and foam it.

Re: bullet seating q's
Curious as to what brand of F class rifle your using? I do not usually recommend leaving just a little bullet seated in the neck. One must consider the boat tail also. The other side of the coin is shoot what works. If it shoots this way do it. The old rule of thumb is to seat one bullet diameter in...

Re: 204 Ruger dot com Postal Shoot Info and what not.
Just an FYI, but for some reason i have a hard time shooting the targets sent. Not sure if it's because there black and white, but i had a hard time focusing, and an even harder time tring to line the crosshairs up in those huge circles. Or am i just using to much magnification. You might want to t...

If price is not an issue then the Cooper is a safe bet.
Unless your taking it bear hunting one shot from a 204 should suffice

Re: Berger Bullets
Hodgens data for H-4895 gives a max load of 28.2gns for the 35 Berg. POI shift will be left up to the discretion of your rifle.

Re: Variances between powder lots
In the past R-10x had a reputation for some drastic variations between lots. Silverfox ran into some trouble with it. Always best to drop down a bit and work up.

Anybody know the difference between the 6.5-284 Norma and 6.5-284 Winchester?? Sweet Rifle. I think the new stock design was worth the wait. There are slight differences between the Norma and Win chambers. The Norma chamber is slightly larger. Win chambers sometimes have difficulty chambering Norma...

Wrz Waldo Wow your postal shoot html code thingy is super impressive. Your going to put the rest of the forums to shame with formatting like that. I'm also going to be embarrased to submit some lousy results if they're going to be enshrined in that format for all time. I better get off my duff and f...
