Wow I'm losing it folks. acloco is absolutely correct and I thank him. It seems the 308 shellholder I've been using in my press is actually a Hornady shellholder. I do not even remember ordering it but I must have. I pulled the shellholder out of a used RCBS press that I have yet to set up and sure ...

My bad  The Hornady trimmer uses standard shellholders. No idea how I forgot that except I've had it set up exclusively for 204 since I got it. Sorry I have no idea if Hornady has changed thier pilot style. Thier trimmer will come with a set of standard pilots but not a .204. Redding and Forst...

I agree totally with whistlepig. A trimmer that uses a collet is just not repeatable and will trim brass to varying lengths. I've noticed this big time trimming 204 brass that had different case head diameters. I ended up buying a Hornady trimmer. Much more accurate than a collet trimmer as it index...

I never shoot nekkid for fear of powder burns. Besides the neighbors think I'm wierd enough already. In Ct its not politically correct to own firearms much less use them. Worse yet to use them on your own property. Be seen using them unclothed and SWAT will most assuredly be paying you a visit :wink...

No one can say your not committed. Some might say you should be.
Scorching 65 degrees here in Ct. Just got in from my range with the 204 and 308. My 204 was beeing a real b!#@% today. Hope you have better luck when you finally get to pull the trigger. Gotta love this global warming stuff.

acloco
I do not recommend mixing moly and naked. Refer to your other post.
Others may disagree and are free to do so.

A very interesting project. This 1/8" rod, I assume its steel. In actuality the copper wipes out pretty easily while using WS2. Just started using the Wipeout foam everyones been raving about. Not bad stuff at all. I usually push a few patches of solvent through then a touch of alcohol and then...

acloco I cant quess  I've only just begun using H-322 with my beloved 35 Bergs which are coated with Tungsten Disulfide. I'm not sure what will work with naked bullets.I also just recently screwed on my original tube which has well over 3000rds through it, mostly naked. It is very well worn. Th...

Maybe after 100 or so butterfly stitches that target might recover with a little bedrest. Chicken soup might help also.

acloco I hope you have a heavy duty pickup for all those rounds and don't forget your cleaning rod. ;)

It's usually dead when the staples go thru it.    As a paper puncher I really appreciate that. As a non betting man I'll go with the 35 Berg and H-322. Your best accuracy might not be at your desired velocity though. Your gonna let a little weather age and tarnish all those loa...

As Glen said in his first post, your really not doing to badly anyway. I've never had much luck making bugholes with the 40 Berg myself. I know others have but my results have been pretty close to yours therefor I've never put much effort into them. Thier little sister performs so well. If I needed ...

Ditto on what Hawkeye Joe said. Before you start messing with the bedding (proper bedding is always a good thing) try some different bullets. I always recommend 35 Bergers. I have yet to see a barrel that did'nt like them. It could just be that your gun doesnt like 40's Some may disagree but in my e...

Out of the three Savage barrels I've used each preferred the 35 Berger.
