For those of you intent on reaching way out there to the lands I would suggest partial neck sizing. It will help align the cartridge in the chamber and allow it to seal more rapidly upon firing. I've dabbled with reaching the lands but found no improvement doing so. Alot depends on your particular c...

Aftermarket sounds so cheap. Buy a custom 8)
Pac-nor polygonal 11 twist. Sounds like it should shoot anyway :)
This summer I'll be looking into a real barrel with an attention to detail.
I havent been looking into them much because I knew if I figured out what I wanted I'd have to get it.

But the downside to that is, if the necks vary that much, most likely the body of the case does too, so those cases will never give the accuracy you're in search of. ) Wow Rick Never thought of that!!! I quess thats the last nail in the coffin for those 600 Win cases that've been a thorn in my side...

I only bought one box of Noz 32's seeing as I had such bad luck with thier fortys. They do look sexy in that little skirt. They're next on the list.

I looked at the 2460 data. Your weren't by any chance very ill the day you loaded them up were you :) 25.6grs= 3941fps 27.5grs= 3913fps Do I have that right? Was your chrono frozen solid? Clarification, Verification and Validation please :) I've bought 1lb of AA powder in my short reloading career. ...

Of note, the data, well...is just that...data. I think, some of the targets show a lot more promise than the data. acloco Just to be sure you know I wasn't besmirching your data. What I meant in my post was it is 3am I was tired and sick and I went into data overload. I got pretty dizzy just trying...

Have any of you ultrasonic guys done any side to side accuracy comparisons with your squeaky clean brass vs carbon still in the neck brass? I have polished the neck interiors and found an improvement in accuracy but its not an easy procedure. With a normal vibratory tumbler I would need to repolish ...

Just for ha ha's I checked. Berger recommends a 1-9 twist for thier 50's so I guess a 1-6 would be required for a 70. I just dont think its happening. I did find one post on benchrest central that mentioned it and the poster said the .20cal would be a contender at 1000 yds. I just use the products I...

acloco Its 3 am and the doctors finally confirmed what I've been telling them all along. pneumonia. all I can say is WOW DATA OVERLOAD  I did pick the 35 Bergs as a favorite but my charge weights didnt win. It looks like your gun will like the 40 v-maxs and 10x the best. Nothing wrong with that...

I'd have to agree with Glen. I'm not sure any .20 cartridge could push them fast enough to make them viable at the extended ranges they would be designed for. Does anyone make a barrel twist that could handle them? The market for Bergers 50 grainers must be small enough why 70? Someone building a 20...

Its a big country and different traditions/scenarios everywhere. And yes feral dogs in parts.
I own three large dogs. 1 like new leash and 0 chains.
Its a good thing no one in my neighborhood would consider shooting any dog not chained to a tree. My dogs might not bite but I will.

When I first got mine I did not have a "fine" file so I tryed a sharpening stone. It worked great but did begin to wear the die. I then bought a fine file. I quesstimate I trimmed 2000 rds with it and have probably lost one to two thousandths off the top. If I had not started with the ston...
