I have Three cal.'s in an AR-15 to work up loads, and prep allot of brass. Does anyone have any openions on the Hornady prep center? At $300 plus, or minus. Its not an investment to take lightly.
I would like your thoughts before I take the plunge. Thanks, R.Delung

Re: One Scope for three rifles
After much thought. I have considered getting dedacated scope for my 6.5x47 Lapua. I'm looking at the Konus M30 7281 6.5x25x44mm scope. Can anyone give me some information neg. or pos. about this scope, or any suggestions. I like what the scope is supposed to do, and the price is interesting also. T...

Load info. help
Hi all- This will be the first year that skippy will have lead from two new cal's pointed his way. I'm working up loads on the 6.5 Grendel, and a 6.5x47 Lapua. I'm hoping this will work from 500 yds. out to 1000 yds. Has anyone worked up any good loads that will stay under 3000 fps, and deliver good...

Re: One Scope for three rifles
Has anyone used the Leupold bore sighter system. They say that after you zero at a given range. You place the sighter on the end of the bore, and look through the scope. Than transfer to a card where the zero is. Use a differunt card for each rifle, making scope changes for each card/range. A'm I co...

One Scope for three rifles
So as to reduce cost, I purchased a Leupold VX3 8.5x25x50 Varmint Hunter ret. with Warne Quick Detach steel rings. My first gun is a 6.5x47 Lapua 26in. target barrel and muzzle break, and a 20 MOA scope base. This was built on a Savage 110. My second gun is a AR-15 upper in a 6.5 Grendel ( from Alex...

Re: Cut vs. Button rifling
I don't know if this helps or not. I'm building a 6.5 x 47 Lapua on a Savage platforme. I have hopes of making this a 1000 yd. gun. I went ahead and put in an order from Sharpshooter Supply for a cut barrel. I'll keep you all informed as to performance.

Re: Cut vs. Button rifling
After some checking around, I'm going to go with a cut barrel. The people at Sharpshooter Supply have a button Douglas barrel at $ 310.00 and a cut Brux barrel at $385.00 I like the fact that less stress is put on the barrel during the rifiling process. This build is to be a 1000 yd gun. So I think ...

Hydraulic Recoil Rifle Buffer
I currently have a self made black gun with a White Oak .204 24in. barrel. After spending a few days punching holes in the dogs of South Dakota, I'm considering adding a Hydraulic buffer. The reported reduced recoil, and reduced boing spring noise would be nice. Anyone have any information as to whi...
