Ethan, looks like you got the job right with those groups. Al, please post your results when you get t...

Re: BERGER & 4895
Thanks. It's rained here for several days. Today i took advantage of a 1 hour respite and fired 3 rounds with 35g bergers/26.5gr h4895 for 3593 fps, 2 were touching and 1 was 3/4" low. 3 rounds with 27.5 gr h4895 produced 3787 fps, 2 touching and 1 was 3/4"HIGH. These were at 80yds. Rifle ...

Re: BARREL LENGTH?
:D Ryan, I like rifles that look like that, really short. However, I use a moderator all the time,so even with a 20" barrel i end up with 22 1/2" overall, and naff looking to boot. Fred_C_Dobbs, I fired 3 rounds of federal 100g factory ammo over the chrony today, average..2865, with the 55g...

Period scopes.
Hi, I know this is not exactly 204ish,but, a friend of mine gets excited by old rolling block rifles (5 @ the moment) and wants to know where he can get scopes. I'm sure some members have period scopes (poss. bought new if you're as old as me) and wondered if anyone specializes in them, or knows the...

Re: BARREL LENGTH?
Wrangler, This model 7 wore a 20" barrel when it was a 22/250 and was real handy when travelling in a truck to different parts of the estate. Now it's a 243 pacnor it's not so handy.I was hoping someone might have the actual figures because i'm a bit lazy, and it would mean a trip to the 'smith...

BARREL LENGTH?
My rem.M7 .243 has a 26" barrel which seems clumsy in the woods, especially so with a mod erator on the end. I would like to cut it to 20". Does anyone have experience of 20" barrels on 243s. I would like to know what the approximate drop would be at 200 and 300yds when zeroed 1 1/2&q...

lenard, you sound like a lucky guy. We've had several doses of myxy. in the last few years. If someone says they've seen a rabbit, it's just a rumour.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
