Re: BERGER & 4895
Silverfox, Thanks for reining me in abit. I've loaded a few rounds starting at 27.5, going up by1/10s to 28.4. I'll try them in the next few days, and look for signs as i go. I will settle on 28 or less but would like to see what 28.4 produces if possible. I've just got some of Calhoon's 39g dbl hp t...

Re: Twist rate?
adam, I think the 10 twist will be fine for even the heaviest of the 20 cal bullets, so 39s and 40s shouldn't be a problem. It appears that all 12 twist barrels will shoot 39s and some will shoot 40s as well. I recently had a Pac-nor 11 twist fitted and it shoots 40gr fine. I don't think you need a ...

Jason,
if it floats YOUR shooting boat, it's not wasted.
Just my own thoughts, and why i've never wasted a penny all my life.

Re: BERGER & 4895
FBG, Thats the reason i'm using it too. Bought a pound for my .14, and thats very economical. If i don't use some it in the .204 there'll still be some left when i die. ken. PS. better clarify. The 4895 is so economical in the 14 that it dosen't use any at all, i'd bought the wrong powder, sho...
