Re: this or that?
Hi silverfox, not concerned about state of fur, just want best 25 gn. bullet to get inside to minimise splash wounds. Read somewhere else that 17 HMR penetrates well before fragmenting but those speeds would be too slow. As for 'yotes i'm in uk and we don't have any, not that i've heard of anyway.We...

Re: free recoil?
Hi clover_shooter, thanks for enlightening me on that....I've never seen anyone shoot from a bench nor do i know anyone who uses a bench as i've always been a walkabout shooter. Did'nt think i was going to get a reply, people probably thought it was so stoopid a question. LOL thanks again KB.

Re: First 2 coyotes with Hornady 45gr SP
hi Walleyman, Ithink you hit the nail on the head there, a lot of people,me included think it's weight and not length( Rick put me right a few weeks ago) that determines wether a bullet stabilizes or not. I did not know that the 45g was shorter than the lighter bullet. My ruger n 1 shot 32 and 40 gr...

Re: First 2 coyotes with Hornady 45gr SP
Hi Walleyman, very nice......you must be one lucky man to have a 12 twist that suits a bullet range from 32 through to 45 grains. cheers KB.

17 fb twists
Hi everyone, i noticed that one or two people have posted about 17 calibres and wondered if anyone has any experience of wether the standard factory barrels will stablize all the different bullet weights available. In England where i live Midway can supply 20...25...and 30grain bullets. Does anyone ...

Re: New Scope
Hi Wiiings12, my 5 cents worth is get one with a third turret, those with a twisty bit at the front are a pain to adjust easily. cheers kenB.

Re: get well soon
Hello Rick, very interesting post, almost but not quite wished i'd kept my number 1. I'm not able to do my own gunsmith work and GOOD gunsmiths are thin on the ground over here and the best are always very busy (been told by a one that you can't float the forearm on a number one!) I don't reload amm...

Re: get well soon
Rick, good to hear you're feeling good, assumed you might have been done already as you had'nt posted for a couple of days. That picture would be double paradise if you could find anything like it in uk, it's the stuff of dreams. What does the ruger number one shoot like? I had one in 204R laminate ...
