pics of my new shooter and more
I snapped a couple of pics of my new Remington 700 VTR .204 topped with a Burris 4.5x14x42 tactical scope. Since I was showing pics I wanted to include my Savage 17 HMR topped with a Nikon Prostaff 3x9 and my Remington 700 in 25-06 with a Bushnell 4x12. http://i403.photobucket.com/albums/pp111/WYLDR...

17 HMR COYOTES DOUBLE STACKED
Hey guys This all took place in February but I am new to this forum and I remember this day like it was yesterday. Early one morning around 9 I took a look out of the bedroom window that overlooks some of my fields here on the farm and to my surprise I seen a lone coyote trotting across quartering a...

Re: A little experiment
Like you say some rifles are ammo specific but I think you could grab any one of those rifles and get the job done. that is a sharp looking rifle. By the way are you married
just wondering cause I had to beg borrow and steal to get 1 204 and you got 3

FINALY SHOT MY 700 REMINGTON VTR
Shot my vtr for the first time yesterday! :D Very very happy, after a few shots and scope adjustments I was shooting 100 yards and touching bullet holes! I have a Burris 4.5x14x42 tactical scope on it and I got her hitting an inch high @100. Not had a chance to shoot farther than that yet. I'm curio...

Re: VTR Trouble?
I finally shot my vtr this evening and was very happy with its performance I had no trouble with the bolt or anything everything was pretty smooth. I would listen to rick and take it to a reliable gunsmith.

I love how the 204 just makes the hogs implode into mush! kinda graphic when the eyes pop out great job. My wife got her 1st hog this year with my 17hmr.

Re: 17 HMR and PD's
How has the 17HMR been treating you? I wouldn't trade mine for anything! I have the savage thumbhole stock stainless bull barrel topped with a Nikon Prostaff 3x9. It is a ground hog/coyote killing machine :zap: I took a pair of coyotes with it in February and dropped them on the spot, one on top of ...

Re: Savage Model 25 or C-Z Varmint
I bought my 1st 204 a few weeks ago, a Remington 700 vtr and I was looking at a bunch of scopes. I ended up with a Burris Fullfield II 4.5x14x42 tactical with the ballistic plex. For the money I don't think you can go wrong. Very clear and bright. Cabelas has a combo for the 4.5x14 with a spotting s...

Re: Tell us about yourself...
I got the 700! have not shot it yet but I think the winds are pretty calm today so I think I'm gonna let her bark! I also have a 25-06 in the 700. I'll post some photos in the next couple days.
