Trigger safety test question.
Hey guys, I just installed a Rifle Basix trigger in my Marlin 917. What is the proper way to check if the trigger is safely adjusted? I have heard of the "drop test," but from how high should I be dropping the gun onto its butt end? 1 foot? 2 feet? 3 feet? Any other ways to test it? Thanks.

I asked the same question a while ago. Do a search for 204 Ackley and it should come up.

Help: LRV Duplex v. Fine Duplex for 17 HMR?
My buddy has an excellent condition Leupold VX-II 6-18x40 AO with the LRV Duplex he said he would sell to me for $400. This scope is usually $500 new, and I have been watching them on ebay and the used ones usually go for around $400. I would put it on my 17HMR that I use exclusively off a bench to ...

Re: Looking back at 2011 (in pics)
Can you expand on this please? I might be interested. Shooting off an uncomfortable card table was tough on my neck this last Spring.Rick in Oregon wrote:If anyone is interested, there may be a limited number of original BR Pivots available in the near future (new in the box).

Bore Guide question
I have a Marlin 917. Is this the bore guide that a lot of you use or recommend for a 17HMR?

17 Hornady Hornet Reloader's Velocity?
You guys that reload, what do you think the attainable velocity will be when reloading for the 17 Hornet?
Hornady shows the 17 Hornet at 3650 fps with their special blend. It is my understanding that with the available powder for reloaders, such a number would not be attainable.
Thanks.

I wonder if this will be challenged for infringing on 2nd Amendment right to bear (i.e. Carry) arms.

Cooper M21 Vartarg v. Cooper M38 Vartarg
For those of you with a M38 Vartarg, why did you choose the M38 over the M21? Or, vice versa?

Re: Your thoughts on AO for a .17 HMR
Thanks for taking the time to answer all of my questions. I really appreciate it. This last Spring was my first opportunity to actually do some rat shooting. I absolutely loved it. Also for fun, here are some pics from my first season out in the "rat patch." Working with the equipment I go...

Re: Your thoughts on AO for a .17 HMR
RIO: Do you have the fine duplex reticle on your VX II 6-18? I looked at the custom shop and was disappointed that the VHR was not available for this model. I was hoping it would be because the .17 HMR gets pushed around quite a bit by the wind, which the VHR is helpful for. I guess I could order a...
