Re: BR Pivot available AGAIN
I just placed my order, and Midway says they "are available". I hope I get it in time for my WY PD hunt.

Re: CUstom .204 finally arrived
Not at all - it was about $2500 before I added the scope.surfclod wrote:That sounds/looks a looks like a real winner, congrats.
What was your overall cost if you don't mind me asking??

Re: CUstom .204 finally arrived
It is a 1-12 twist; I chose that over the only other Shilen choice, 1-9. I hope it shoots the 39 gr SBK's. The NightForce is probably overkill, but this is my first and only full custom rifle, and I wanted to be exactly like I wanted. I have not weighed it yet but will and let you know. It is a tad ...

CUstom .204 finally arrived
It was a long 6 month wait, but it arrived just 2 1/2 weeks before my trip to Wy to shoot prairie dogs. It is a Stiller Viper RBLP Action, McMillan stock, Shilen #8 Stainless select match barrel, 2 oz Jewel trigger, 5.5 x 22 Night Force scope. All work was done by the manufacturers, no private gunsm...

Re: Custom 204
varmintdon,
I am having one built almost identical to yours - same action, Shilen barrel, only mine will have a McMillan stock - git any pics? Let us know how she shoots!

Re: Hand Primer tool
I am right handed and hold my Sinclair in my RH and pick up the primers with my left. Only had mine about 2 weeks and still getting used to the feel of it and whether to stop when you first feel resistance or adding some slight pressure to ensure the primer is fully seated without crushing anything....

Beautiful rifle - I too am glad to see the .204 getting attention in the custom rifle department. More and more are being built each year.

Re: Primer Seating Depth!
I ordered a Sinclair priming tool (have not received it yet) in hopes of getting more consistent primer ignition. I will be slower, but hopefully it will enable me to create more accurate .204 ammo.

Preping new brass
Just wondering how much prep you guys do on new .204 brass? My past practice has been to run them through my neck sizing die to fix any bent necks and uniform the primer pocket - then load and shoot them. I never trim until after firing at least once. Then I use my Sinclair flash hole deburring tool...

Re: Ultimate 243 varmint/predator rifle.
Jo: I am having a custom .204 built at this time using a Stiller Viper action, Shilen barrel and McMillan Hunter Class stock - that Viper looks pretty to me, online anyway! :D I have wanted to build a custom for a long time and when the .204 came along, I knew that it would be the caliber for...

Re: Optimal barrel length .204 Ruger
I just ordered a White Oak Armament AR-15 upper in .204, and I went with 20" fluted tube to cut weight. Looks like I won't be losing a whole lot to a 24" barrel.

Re: get well soon
Beautiful rifle Rick, and great story on how you made it a shooter. Hope you remain in "tip top" shape all year and keep us all well informed on this forum. I for one, appreciate all you do. I notice you use a Sinclair front rest - I am thinking about upgrading to one myslef - expensive, b...

Re: First black gun
I ordered a WOA 20" upper this week in .204 mainly as the web site states they use "match grade" 1:10 barrels. I went back to the site today and downloaded their PDF catalogue. It states they use 1:12 Pac Nor barrels. I need to call and see which is correct. I want the 1:10 barrel.

Re: Ballistics software
Thanks Rick,
I was going to ask if Infinity has .20 cal info, but you answered that. I think it would be worth the price of admission just to have for future load development for the .20 and other cals as well.
