Hi Folks,
I'm looking for a set of 30mm Burris Signature rings. I need a high set in Matte. The Burris # is 420587.
I love the rings and would hate to have to mount my new Nightforce with something else.
Thanks

Re: End of my rope
Thanks for the info Wrangler it looks like you hit the nail on the head. I've continued to aggressively clean the bore, mostly with JB products. Seems smoother and smoother to me with less copper fouling, and it is progressively shooting better. I'm going to retorque the action screws tonight an try...

Re: End of my rope
Hi All, finally made it back to the range. I cleaned the gun to the max and coated the bore with the Lock Ease. The results were much better. I ran out of the 35 gr Bergers and used 39 gr SBK's that never shot quite as well as the Bergers but not bad. I didn' have the flyer's like I've had in the pa...

Re: End of my rope
Hi all I'm back, a minor health issue kept me away but I'm on the mend. In the last 2 days my brother stopped in looked at the gun and said he had never seen a Savage with as rough a bore. He sent me some loads to fire lap the barrel. The bore was showing lots of machine marks. Fired and cleaned, fi...

Re: End of my rope
Thanks guys for all of the suggestions, let me fill you in on a few more of the details that I left off before. All the targets were at 100 yards shot from a bench with a sturdy "lead sled" . The last trip to the range was when there was no wind, but it was hot (90). The scope is good and ...

Re: End of my rope
Wow. Thanks Fred for the idea to use the Lock Ease. Just happens I have some and after making sure there was no carbon or copper in the bore I passed a patch through it as you suggested. Take a look at the target. Now the first shot hit 4 inches low and the next five were clustered together. Shots 2...

End of my rope
Hi all. I've religiously followed this site without really adding anything much but I've about had it with one of my rifles. Great looking Savage m12 thumbhole in 204 but is driving me crazy. I'll try to attach a couple of target pictures, but basically it will place the first shot 1.5 inches high a...

It was about 5am so it was still dark and I didn't take a l...

Coyote's Age
How old do you think that this coyote might be? Almost no front teeth left and his canines were worn to nothing as you can see. He did however have a significant amount of fat on him. http://i625.photobucket.com/albums/tt334/Unclebobs4/Y2.jpg http://i625.photobucket.com/albums/tt334/Unclebobs4/Y1.jpg

Re: Shooting Bags
I made my own shooting bags from a couple of old suede coats that I purchased at the Salvation Army and filled cut outs from them with the glass beads that they use to put on the road paint when painting. They are clean and the beads move easily.

Re: Nikon Monarch on a CZ 527
Jantzer. How much did you take off of the bolt, and how did you finish it after you took some of the metal off?
The Monarch has the largest of the oculars and I may have to take a little off of the bolt.
Thanks for the help.

Nikon Monarch on a CZ 527
I have ordered a Nikon Monarch 4-16X50 for my new CZ 527 and need to know if there is anyone out there with the same set up. What Rings Do I Use??????? I suspect the CZ rings will be too low to allow for the Ocular lens to clear the bolt, but how about the Burris or Leupold rings. I know there has t...

CZ 527 and Scope rings
I just got my CZ Varminter and it shoots better than I ever expected. I was so impatient that I put an old Bushnell on the gun and took it to the range. My other rifle is a Savage Mod. 12 that is also a great shoot with a Burris 6.5-20 X 50 on it. I would like to put a Nikon Monarch 4-16 X 50 on the...

Re: 35 Berger ?s
In the last 3 weeks I've bagged 4 Fox and 2 coyotes. One of the foxes was a gray. So far the 35 gr Bergers have been very fur friendly and couldn't ask for a more accurate bullet for my gun.
