Re: Remington VS SF II Questions
Thought so, my savage loved a max charge of varget under a 40 gr sierra hollowpoint. Cool, thanks verminator.

Re: Remington VS SF II Questions
Have you tried varget and benchmark in the gun? What is your definition of very, very accurate? 22-250 is going to be my pick as well. Thanks for your input.

Remington VS SF II Questions
Does any one out there own one of these guns? Have had my heart set on one for a long time but I am having a hard time deciding. It is a little pricey, has a great stock and an iffy trigger. Owned a savage FVSS and loved it, most accurate gun I have ever shot but it has it's shortfalls as well. Inte...

204 Cleaning Questions
I have looked high and low in all of my local gun shops and NO ONE sells a 20 cal cleaning rod. All they appear to say is use your 17 cal stuff which I think is wrong. Brushes dont fit properly, patches are too small. Only option appears to be a bore snake and I really dont like those at all. SO I s...

Re: H4198 in 204 Ruger
Found the 39 grain blitz kings at SIR did not know they sold barnes as well. I shall pay them a visit and spend some money. Only about 15 minutes from home. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: H4198 in 204 Ruger
I have no idea what my gun likes yet as I have only sighted it and gone hunting so far. 32 grain hornady factory appears to do well, 40 grainers go straight through the paper. Now that I have dies and about 200 rounds of handloads ready to go and IF, I say IF it stops raining I want to getout on the...

Re: H4198 in 204 Ruger
Thanks for the h4198 info silverfox. I thought it might be too fast a burn rate but apparently not. After I have burned up all the stuff I have allready made I will give it a go. Have about half a pound of the stuff left so now it wont go to waste. Can not get very much variety in 20 cal bullets up ...

Re: H4198 in 204 Ruger
Interesting, thank you for the information. I thought the heavier bulles were the ones that had stability problems? Have shot 32's and 40's in my remy with no problems. I have about 250 reload ready to test using varget and benchmark will see how that works out.

Re: H4198 in 204 Ruger
remington cases and federal 205M primers throughout, cases trimmed to 1.400" COL as per hodgdon data center. 17.0 grains H4198 and 20 gr Vmax are great, 16.6 grains H4198 and 25 gr hornady hollowpoint are great and the guns favorite, 18.7 grains of benchmark with the 25 gr bullet a solid sub 1/...

H4198 in 204 Ruger
Has anyone tried H4198 in the 204 ruger? Read in several places today that this stuff works well in the round. Have a bunch left from the 17 fireeball experiment so I thought I would use it up. Any thoughts?
