Shoot for the head! Why worry yourself with a body shot...take the head off and you'll be good.

I think the BT's may cause a little more damage than what you are expecting.

I keep an eye out for them, stay out of tall grass and I wear Repel with 40% DEET. I've found a couple this year but I usually catch them before they get too far up my leg! I am a bit hairy so the hair acts as an alarm!

Can it compete? Depends on what you're shooting against, but "no", not for registered BR competition where the 6PPC reigns supreme. Preimum varmint cartridge, accurate, but not a BR competition round. It shoots noticably flatter than a 223 Remmington. I would be going up against the regul...
