Re: Value of One-Fired .204 Brass?????
Here's my 2 cents. I personally really like Hornady brass. $3.00 is pretty low for 20... 204 Nosler brass is $77.40 per 100 = $15.48 per 20 204 Norma brass is $77.00 per 100 = $15.40 per 20 204 Rem. brass is $22.95 per 100 = $4.59 per 20 204 Win. brass is $19.60 per 100 = $3.92 per 20 I would put Ho...

Muslmutt,
We had a conversation a while back about temp and powder, thread below.
Working up a load to be used elsewhere a pipedream?

Re: VSSF II Update
I definitely don't want to start bashing Remington, but I do have some facts. Using a Hawkeye borescope at a friends one day he was showing me some barrels. First a custom Gaillard, smooth like a babies bum. Then we looked at a custom Shilen, not as smooth as the Gaillard but real close. Next was a ...

Re: Flash hole uniformer
Glad I could help. Mine is in Fine Art, I specialized in Sculpture. It's kinda funny we are having this converstation. It is because of this degree that I bought my .204 (in a round about way). I moved out here (Saskatchewan) to come to school. We don't have gophers where I live back home (Ontairo),...

Re: Flash hole uniformer
Yea, synergistic works nice also. Orion2see, what do you have your Masters in? About the the timmer... I'm sure you'll notice two trends developing. Firstly, Sinclair make some of the best reloading equipment in North America. Secondly... it's not cheap. I stongly suggest the the Wilson/Sinclair tri...

Re: Flash hole uniformer
You got it. It indexes off the case mouth, so any variation in case length will cut either less or more. You need to remove the same amount of material, which is not much at all, in order to keep case capacity consistent. The nice thing about this operation is you only have to do it once, so perform...

Re: 700-1000 yard Varmint Caliber Discussion
Just to wet your appetite, here is a great 6-284: The Need for Speed To answer your question, I can tell you that the 6.5x284 fits (and shoots) in a short action, with the ability to load into the lands. Here's a nice one. Will they fit into a .243 magazine? I can't answer that for sure, sorry. My g...

Re: 700-1000 yard Varmint Caliber Discussion
First off, not wanting to hyjack a thread or take away from acloco's exciting build, I'll comment on the 223 AI. Secondly, Verminator2, thanks for the props. I'm glad I got someone else excited about these two calibers. They are performing very very well and are ideal for super long range varminting...

Is 22" too short? Definitely not!
23" was found to be fastest length (with the following set up)

Re: 700-1000 yard Varmint Caliber Discussion
Hey acloco, Sounds like a fun project. The way I see it, you should be deciding between two amazing calibers, the 6mmBR, and the 6.5x47 Lapua. Both calibers are deadly at 600yards and used extensively at 1000yard competitions. As mentioned before, with all due respect, the .308 is definitely old sch...

Re: Recomended load for wolf
I would go with the heavier 39gr Sierra's or Hornady 40gr V-Max's. They will be good bullets for this application. They are heavier (higher BC) and will carry more weight and punch. Also, they both have ballistic tips, so they will expand easier and faster than the Berger's. A 1:12 twist barrel with...
