Lakota,
It is totally safe. What that message means is that that program is not recognized by Microsoft (your operating system). That same message will come up with other lesser known programs (or newley made ones such as OnTarget). That's all.

Re: Hmmmm, I wonder what twist rate a 55 gr. Berger will need?
I can't speak for the 55's, but the the 50 Bergers (BC=0.296) are shooting nice in a 1:9. One guy on another forum is getting the 50's to stabilize in a 1:11 in a 20BR at 3600fps, but Berger recomends a 1:9. With this info, I believe a 1:9 will be great for the 55's. I'll give you my thoughts on the...

Re: Working up a load to be used elsewhere a pipedream?
I'll share my thoughts. I know very well about tuning a load to temp and humidity for benchrest shooting. N133 is the king of the Lapua PPC cartridge. It is a powder that is affected by TEMPERATURE. The hotter the powder is, the faster it burns. Benchrest shooters have been known to keep N133 powder...

Use this thread to: ask technical questions about the program, post images of groups measured with OnTarget, or post images of tar...

Re: Got a load for my 204!!
Hini, I'll give you a couple of pointers. Try zooming in the group, it helps when the image is "fuzzy". Make sure you "Set Reference" which means telling the program what scale to use. In your target, the circle is one inch across, so you choose the "set reference" then...

Thanks for the reply Ray, and thanks for the background info. I figured it must have been something like your circumstances. Lucky you, I hope you work out the kinks with yours.

Re: Pics of your 204's
Very nice guns ray... my kind of set ups! I am planing a gun very similar to what your shooting, only in 6.5X47L for F-class. I'm building it on a Savage target action with a Sharp Shooters Supply recoil lug and stainless action screws. I'm ordering a Pac-Nor pre-fit also. Where my question comes is...

Re: Some Questions
BunGhoLeo, I have a comment or two about the scale: BUY A RCBS CHARGEMASTER COMBO!!! You'll be happy you did. First read this for some background information on scales: http://www.6mmbr.com/prometheus.html Then read this about digital scales: http://www.6mmbr.com/powderdispensers01.html Then go buy ...

Re: Seating dies?
Hey acloco, Could you please elaborate on what you mean by this sentence: Use a case checking device to check how the fired brass from your rifle is before proceeding. If your rifle's chamber/bolt/etc are not on the up and up....everything you do will be for not (except give you gray hair, lose your...

0.322"... Very Nice Shooting!!!
27gr. of H4895 is EXACTLY what I am shooting, pushing the same 32gr Sierra's.
Below your picture is a picture of my groups (I'm getting the same numbers as you when I do my part).

Re: New Load and Bedded Action (With Pictures)
jo191145, I am using Sierra load data. I know I'm a little light on my charge. I actually got a better group in development with 27.2gr of H4895, but my primers did not like it, a little bit of cratering. I am shooting CCI 400's right now, ONLY because my local shop did not have anything else. He ha...
