Re: Trap Night

Ruger No. 1: Thanks for the advice... Avoid the Brownign cut comb :D .

Lee C.: Actually, that's an air pistol. My sister could shoot those three marshmallows easily with it. I think it's funny she is shooting them and my wife is downing them .

Re: Limb Saver barrel de-resonator

First of all, a question like that opens a BIG A$$ can of worms :wtg: . Here's my 2 cents :twocents: Don't bother with the Sims. Honestly. #1. Yep, you might improve your group 0.1" if your lucky. For all the messing around with the cheap $17.99 Sims Limb Saver it's not worth it, especially whe...

Re: IMR4198 abd 35 grn Bergers

H4198 Thread - As you mentioned, not much on the 35 Bergers though. I don't have any personal experience with this combo, but I can get you close. Let me say that Todd Kindler loves H4198 is small cases with 20cals. On a burn rate comparison chart (relative), H4198 is #58 and H322 is #60. So H4198 ...

Re: How do you say it?

Leupold is the name of the German inventer that traveled to America.

Leupold in english is "LOOP-HOLD" as has been determined (congrats Glen :party1:) , however in German is it more like "LOY-POLT".

I like to pronounce Leupold "One heck of a Scope" :D

Re: Is this a sign of high pressure?

acloco and Hotshot got it, your chamber is large (very large). No, this is not a sign of high pressure, your o.k! Shoot away... :assault: As Hotshot said, I see the same line on my brass at the web junction, just not as pronounced. You might want to strech a bit before you try and resize though, an...

Trap Night

Thought I'd share some pictures and videos of last nights trap shoot. Our game and fish club just bought a new voice activated TAP trap machine. They are a $12 000.00 rig, but boy are they fun! Simply by saying pull the machine fires a clay. Each of the five stations has its own mic. The club, which...

Re: Anyone shooting a browning abolt?

Glad it worked out for you. I love how you said that BL-C(2) "just seamed to be at a stand still", that's what I was talking about. If your are going to stick with the 10X then definitely shoot the Fed 205's, they are a great primer with that powder. Do not use them with BL-C(2), use your ...

Re: Hornady V-Max OAL Problems!

It sounds to me like you're having mechanical trouble with your set up. Bullets in the same box (and usually Lot#) will have variations in length from ogive to tip. Typically this variation is 0.001 to 0.002, which is acceptable for a varmint rifle, 0.020 is DEFINITELY not acceptable. I am almost po...

Re: Anyone shooting a browning abolt?

It's all trial and error, you'll get it eventually. I'll give you my 2 cents on your situation :twocents:. First let me say, and this is just my opinion, I think that Hodgdon's BL-C(2) is too slow of a burning powder to be extremely accurate in a .204 case. Some people might disagree with me on this...

Re: COAL

No worries, it's just how it should be. Here's why. The book value is a guide, and is always lower for safety and legal issues. Guns out of a factory have chambers cut with reamers built to a SAAMI spec (The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute). The the ammo manufacturers build amm...
