Hi Guys, Been busy and not able to get to the forum lately, I don't post much, only when I need some advice, but read most of the posts here. With your advice I purchased the Taurus 85- 2" .38+p with a grey finish because it was in my budget. Wife is excited so I offered to let it be her gun, b...

Bear Hunting ??'s

I am curious if anyone here has experience calling bears with predator calls and can give me some tips or even share your experiences. I have hunted bears a few times before but have just used the spot and stalk method. I thought since I got a Foxpro last year, I might as well put it to use. I would...

Re: Difference between Leupold VXII and Rifleman

Rick I went and checked the rifle out, it is a VXII. I ended up purchasing a Weatherby, Vanguard 22-250, with the 3X9X50- I couldn't pass up the price $599. Great scope, the first 50mm objective that I have owened-WOW a whole new brightness. I think I am motivated to buck up the extra money in the f...

Difference between Leupold VXII and Rifleman

I am looking at a rifle that is listed as having a 3X9X50mm Leupold, but it doesn't say what model. I have not physically seen the rifle yet, just pictures. The price of the gun is very reasonable, which makes me question which model scope it has mounted. By looking is there a I can tell the differe...

Re: Taurus .357-2" ~ Opinions?

RIO and GuyM Thanks for the info. I feel much more at ease knowing the .38 will get the job done with the kitties in close quarters. I will be sure to purchase the Gold Dot ammunition. I think my mind is made up, I can't wait to go shopping. Sorry for all the questions, but you guys are a great sour...

Re: Taurus .357-2" ~ Opinions?

Thank you guys for the information, I like the .38 because I know my wife and I can easily handle the recoil and with the small barrell I will be able to conceal. The only draw back that sticks in my mind is on the trail. All the country I hunt has cougars, as well as where we vacation. Last summer ...

Re: Mt. Lion Encounter in Oregon (Pics)

Rick,
Quite an experience with the cat; lesson learned carry a trail gun.
I'm surprised that no one has requested you post the pic of the hog. If you have time, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would enjoy!

Re: An Amazing Day on the Desert

Verminator2,

Great day in the desert! You mentioned that you sold the pelts, I was just curios how much you sold them for? Also, did you skin them out yourself, or does your buyer take them whole?

Thank your brother for his service. My families thoughts and prayors are with him.

Thank you
