Re: Fed 205 primers
Yes indeed; grab them while you can. I use that primer in six varmint rifles, all high intensity calibers. That primer is also one of the favorites of the BR crowd (205M), who all run their rigs in the fast lane. Primers are scarce right now, the fact that you've stumbled onto a stash of one of the...

Fed 205 primers
My dealer just got some of these primers in. I've used 205M's with good results but its been my understanding that the 205's are a little too thin to stand up to the pressures generated by the 204. However I see in the favorite loads thread that some people do use them. Has anyone had any negative e...

Re: 204 Ruger wins 300 yard belly match
Congratulations! Sounds like you had fun. I wish we had some kind of rifle competition events around here but all there seems to be is shotgun stuff. BTW what kind of load were you using with the Bergers ![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)

Re: Varmint Nightmare bullets
They're the same bullet as the Midway Dogtowns. I have both and shoot them quite a bit. For the price they are very hard to beat. Midsouth sells them under their name cheaper than Midway

Re: Tikka T3 .204 Ruger
Greystone: Which CZ did you buy, the 527 American? What has been your experience with it, such as accuracy, trigger quality, quality of workmanship, etc? The 527 American in .204 is on my wishlist. I have a 452 in 17 HMR and have been very happy with it after having the trigger slicked up a bit by ...

Re: Tikka T3 .204 Ruger
I just bought a CZ chambered in a 204 but before that I was looking at the Tikka's. At the time Tikka didn't send any 204's to the US and I don't think they do yet. Don't know why ![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)

Re: Reloader 7
Nope-Not gonna try it. Went out this morning with some H322, R10X, and IMR4895 loads. I'm just going to concentrate on these powders for now. Daverfurman24 wrote:I hear it is good in the smaller vartarg but agree it may be too fast for the 204. If you do try it let us know what you find.

Re: group size ?
A group is measured from the farthest outside edges and then subtracting the diameter of the bullet. There are more precise methods but that's a quick explanation. So a 30 caliber round can shoot a group as small as a 20 cal round.

Re: Bad .204 ruger groups STILL
I just recently purchased a 527 and on mine the mortice for the recoil lug wasn't machined deep enough. The barreled action would teeter on that pivot point with out the action screws in place. Ive bedded the rifle since then and it has become quite accurate. Just something to check. Dave

Re: Reloader 7
Never tried it. Its awful fast for the standard bullets in the 204. Might be good with the super lightweights like the 26gn Varmint Grenade. Maybe even the 30gn Berg. Buy in bulk online and you'll save some money and get exactly what you want. Except for Varget that is. That has disappeared with th...
