Re: Tikka T3 Varmint Range report

Nice shooting! I was looking at the Tikka T3 lite but we can't get them in a 204 here in the US so I bought a CZ and I'm very happy with it tho. BTW I have a Vortex also and am happy with it. So far I'm having my best luck with H322 and 4895 and 35 Bergers. Anyhow good luck with the Tikka. Nice guns...

Re: case trimmer

As far as a power adapter for the Forster all you have to do is to unscrew the handle and screw on a couple of fine threaded 5/16 nuts-if memory serves me correctly- and use a nut driver in your cordless. Works fine. Dave

Re: H and R ultra varmint

I had an Handi Rifle-not the Ultra Varmint tho- in a 204. It shot alright but it was very load specific. The POI would change considerably from one bullet weight/design to another. It also hated 40 grain V Max's. They keyholed right out of the muzzle. There is a large and dedicated group of H&R ...

Thanks
My OAL was 2.285. There was no special reason for that. My seater die was set for 35 Bergers and thats just where the Dogtowns came out at. Dave

Re: New Rifle

I went out this morning at sunrise expecting a little warmer weather but it was only 35 degrees and breezy. My plan was to shoot groups with 3 different powders but my hands got cold fast-froze them too many times when I was younger doing construction in Minnesota. So I only shot 2 groups. This was ...

Re: Bore Light

What were they saying on the other site? Does he/she like it? Is it brite enough to see much? The guy on the other site did the LED upgrade and claims to be able to see copper and general condition of the bore. He says he uses a magnifying glass looking up the muzzle. Don't know about that but I'll...

Bore Light

This is something I came across. A guy on another forum is touting its virtues so I ordered one. Only 7 bucks besides I think I can find other uses for this thing. It might work. Dave

Re: resize brass from other gun

Yes, remove the dacapping pin from your full length sizind die and you should be fine. This will resize the brass and not punch out the primers. I just did this myself. I used a Lee FL sizing die and all I had to do was to back off the decapping pin enough so it wouldn't punch the primer out and th...

Re: Carbon Ring in barrel

I am needing help finding the Re-10x powder. I currently use 4895, but since everybody is having great luck in their rifles, I want to test some out in my 204. I am located in MO and cannot find any Re-10x powder on MidwayUSA's website. Am I looking in the wrong place? It's made by Alliant and on t...

Some powder and primers have been showing up around here also. Yesterday my local dealer got a large shipment of ammo. Hopefully things are starting to get better. Dave

Primer problems solved

All you have to do is make your own :D I've got thousands of spent primers. Apparently it works.

Re: Tried some blitzkings in my howa, with pics

On the first group were the first 3 shots touching and the other 2 shooting higher? If so maybe your barrel is heating up. How long do you wait in between shots? I allow at least a minute between shots and 5 minutes or more between groups. I shot 6 groups this morning and it took the better part of ...
