Re: Sinclair Bore Guides

WOW, now I've gone from being the only one to ever complain about Sinclair to being one of three (3) posters out of seven (7 )(.4285714 %) who are not TOTALLY HAPPY with Sinclair products . WOW Wonder, just wonder, what a truly representitive survey of Sinclair customers would reveal   TU...

Re: Sinclair Bore Guides

I have a Sinclair O ring chamber guide that I'm not really thrilled with. I use it on my CZ 527 American. Before I go any further I have to acknowledge that this rifle might have a tighter than normal chamber. The only factory rounds that I have are Hornady and it takes a noticeable amount of effort...

Re: 34 Grn COL

I assume that your talking about the Dogtowns or the midsouth equivalent. I shoot them in my CZ 527 American. My seater die is set for 35 Bergers and at that setting it sets the Dogtowns at 2.317. I haven't tried tweaking that load as I only use these bullets for fun shooting. I don't know if I woul...

Re: Hornady 32 gr VMAx funky tips

If you want a cheap bullet for general shooting and and practice-plingking-try the Midway Dogtowns/Midsouth Varnint Nightmare Xtreme's. They're both the same bullet. Keep your loads about midrange-not hot-and you can really get some decent accuracy out of these things. I shoot them a lot and I'll be...

Re: Just wondering!!

I've wondered the same thing. I had one 204 that simply would not shoot the 40 V-Max. Key holed them horribly. I have an old Rem 700 ADL 243 with a barrel that has seen its better days. I think this action will eventually be rebarreled in 204 with a 1X9 twist to handle the 50 and 55 Bergers. That re...

Re: My primers are coming!! My primers are coming

I have seen some more Hodgdon powder showing up in the stores close to me. was low on H335 and Benchmark, so i got 1lb of ea. price, i thought was a little hi, but I am very low on both, so i paid the price. $28.95 per lb + 8.25% sales tax here in Kalifornia. no 8lb jugs yet, and no primers yet eit...

Re: What cal bore brush?

For what its worth-I no longer use brass or bronze brushes only nylon. A while back I switched over to Wipe Out products both the foam and Patch Out. So I only use jags with patches and occasionally run a nylon brush down the bore. This has been working great for me so I'm sticking with it. Just add...

Re: Postal Shoot

For those that don't have shooting sticks they can be made for just a few bucks. These are what I use and have a couple of different lengths. I definately could use the practice with them anyhow. Dave

It looks like you had a nice trip Glen. I've been through those areas a few times and lived in the northern panhandle of Idaho for a year. Absolutely beautiful country! Dave

Re: do you clean between load tests

I am gad to see this post. I have always enjoyed guns, but just recently I have tried to step it up a notch and become a more serious shooter. I picked up a new CZ 527 and I started reloading earlier this year. I have had mixed results and started to become frustrated. I tried to break in my barrel...

Re: Parallax issues?

Thanks to everyone that replied. I always shoot 2 fouling shots and this was the second group that I shot that day with IMR 4895. After I shot the first group I did make a scope adjustment. The first 2 shots were high and left and the next 3 were in the center of the diamond. The adjustment that I m...

Parallax issues?

I went out to the range this morning and the weather was perfect. Absolutely no wind which is very unusual for around here. The scope I'm using has been on 2 rifles-my Rem VTR and now my CZ. The picture below is a 5 shot group that I shot this morning and its something that I experience all the time...
