Re: Remington 700 Aftermarket Trigger?

I personally like the new X-Mark Pro trigger that Rem uses. I have mine adjusted to a little over 2 pounds and it breaks very clean with no creep. As far as aftermarket triggers I like the Jewell because its externally adjustable but its also about 100 bucks more than the Timney, Too bad Canjar went...

Flash hole De-Burring

This might seem to be a stupid question but I'm gonna ask it anyhow. I use Remington cases and trim to a uniform length before de-burring the flash holes. I use the Sinclair tool and it came with no instructions whatsoever. I'm getting ready to prep some brand new brass and I'm wondering how you guy...

Here's a link to a discussion on CCI primer's on a PM forum. Apparently some people have had issues with them.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

We went to Iowa and got together with family members. Took my brother-in-laws new Harley out for a ride. 36 degrees-kind of a chilly ride. Anyhow we laughed, talked, stuffed ourselves and had a good time. Got home tonight and was watching CNN Heroes. I noticed a lot of their nominees shared a common...

Re: what is your #1 bullet choice?

For cheap shooting fun either the Midsouth Nightmare Xtremes or Midway dogtowns are hard to beat. They're the same bullet but Midsouth is quite a bit cheaper. You can get decent accuracy with these things. Otherwise I like 35 Bergers. I also have some 39 BK's that I'm going to start working with. So...

Re: I am going to need some help soon..

You might want a dedicated 20 cal powder funnel and a set of calipers. You might also want to consider flash hole deburring and primer pocket uniformer tools. Here's a nice powder funnel. http://www.sinclairintl.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=REPMMP&item=11-9X&type=store Otherwise you mad...

Re: Another RE-10x question

greystone-- If the Reloder 10X doesn't pan out for you, I'd suggest trying some H4895. Even Benchmark and H322 worked pretty good in my Savage 12VLP in .204 Ruger. I hope you find the magic load before you wear out your barrel looking for it!!! Since I purchased my .204 Ruger in early June of 2004,...

Another RE-10x question

I just picked up some Reloader 10x today but I'm having some trouble finding any published load data for the 204. Doing an internet search yields a few loads but nothing comprehensive. Alliants web site doesn't even include the 204. Does anyone else furnish data for this powder? My primary bullets a...

Re: Ultrasonic Case Cleaning

Silverfox-Thanks for the reply. I like the idea of being able to get the cases cleaned both inside and out. I think I'm going to try it. Dave

Ultrasonic Case Cleaning

Has anyone tried this method of case cleaning. Here's a link to what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Re: AA2460 and those Midway Dogtowns

I'm interested in your post. I've played around with the Dogtowns quite a bit and found that they can be very accurate. I've had thee shoot into almost the same hole but open up one the 4th and 5th shot. Most of the problem is probably behind the trigger :) I have shot a number of half inch 5 shot g...

Just saying Thanks to Skipper and and everyone else involved with the Postal Shoot. I've never done anything like this before and it's been fun. Definately looking forward to next year. Great little forum you guys have here. Dave

Cleaning patches

What do you guys use for cleaning patches for 20 cal. I use a cleaning jag and find that some patches are just too tight to push through the bore without cutting them down. I've bent more than one rod. Thanks. Dave

Re: Bad Luck w/ 40gr. Hornady

Here's a pic of how my first 204 shot the Hornady 40 grainers. This target was set about 20' from the end of the gun. At 100 yds I absolutely did not know where they were hitting. The gun-an H&R Handi Rifle-shot everything else kind of alright sort of. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v455/brns...

Re: Murphy's law

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. My first group on the test was about one of the worst ones that I've shot with my rifle. the last group wasn't very pretty either. Dave
