Re: Is it me?......

I had that problem too. I can't really remember what the deal was but back then when I clicked on the 204 icon on my desktop it brought me to the homepage-not the forum page. I eliminated that icon and replaced it with a new one that automatically brings me to the forum page. Now I'm always logged i...

Re: Another "To the Lands" and Loads Question

Looking for some insight....... Now I have found some posts where people state that the .204 generally likes a jump to the lands, and I rarely see anyone listing their seating depth out past 2.350 (usually quite shorter). Is this mostly because of the magazine's size limits, or is it truly better t...

Thanks Glenn
I know its a work around situation. Just trying to find out everything I can about them. The gun really felt nice. Dave

Re: CZ bolt

This must be the one you're talking about. I couldn't post a direct link but you can find it on this site. I handled a 527 today and was told that scope mounting and bolt clearance was a non issue. Didn't look like it to me at the time. Anyhow here it is. Dave

CZ 527 again

I just came from a rather large gun shop and was handling a used 527 American. It had a very nicely figured wood stock. The gun looked absolutely new and had a $450 price tag. I almost picked it up but I'm kind of waiting to see if the M1 527 will be offered in 204 this year. As I worked the action ...

Re: M1 CZ 527 American

I looked at one of these at the NRA show last Spring and I thought they were only chambered for .223. I was looking at getting one in 204 until I found out they were 223 so I bought the 527 American. I also have the Varmint in 204. Both of them are .5 or better with my loads. I'm very pleased with ...

Re: Optimal barrel length .204 Ruger

When you get to be my age light and handy is the name of the game. I no longer worry about the fps I may gain or lose frome barrel length as long as I can hit what I'm shooting at. Just my 2 cents worth. Dave

M1 CZ 527 American

This is the CZ that has the 3 round mag. I'm looking for a light weight carry rifle in 204. CZ says this rifle weighs 5.7 lbs. I would have to see that to believe that tho. Most gun companies can't tell the truth about the weight of their rifles if their life depended on it. But anyhow this rifle lo...

Re: Walking predator/varmint rifle.

I also just recently picked up a camoed Tikka lite with the stainless barrel in a 243. So far it shoots the factory stuff really well. Perfect weight and nice trigger. I can't wait until I find one of these in a 204. I found a couple of on-line places that show a T3 Lite chambered in 204 but my oth...

Re: Walking predator/varmint rifle.

I'm a Remington guy but I'm also taking a look at the Tikka T3 Lite for a light carry gun. They come ia at about 3/4 lbs lighter than the light Remingtons and are supposed to deliver excellent accuracy. Also very reasonably priced. If they ever chamber it in 204 I'm going to get one. BTW if a mounta...

Re: REm 700 VL SS thumbhole Loads

Stay with what you have for now and just start doing some reloading. As you learn you can add. I use Remington brass but spend quite some time prepping it for the first loading. Most of it is unnecessary but a consistency thing. I would recommend a 20 cal funnel tho. Sinclair sells a good one

Re: Midsouth's varmint nightmare bullets

They are lead point soft point bullets some have cannalures on them. I get 3/4" groups all day long w/ my AR, and they have a good pop on the poochie dogs..... Not hollow points. I use them! -Dan Every box of Nightmare X-tremes and Midway dogtowns are 34 grain hollowpoints in a 20 cal. I have ...

Re: Midsouth's varmint nightmare bullets

I Believe that they are made by Nosler and they are the same bullet as the Midway Dogtowns. I have both. As far as I know their design is unique so they aren't seconds. Just a cheaper bullet. They have a rather large hollow point. I use them in a 204 and you can get decent accuracy out of them. For ...

Re: Case trimmers

I have a Forster and I like it. I'm using it today. If you want to power it without buying the power adapter all you have to do is unscrew the handle and screw on two 5/16 fine threaded nuts. A half inch nut driver in your cordless and your set. Alot faster than turning the crank by hand
