Re: Watusi big horn cattle

If you took one of those Watusi horns and made a powder horn out of it, you could probably shoot your BP rifle for a real long time after you filled it up.

Re: Nosler 2nds - .204 40gr

Of course, I already have thought about if they don't work, what will I do? The answer was easy: buy a Remington or Savage to keep the NEF company. You may not always be right, but I like the way you think! Actually, I am always Wright , never wrong... but may be incorrect. ;) That comes with havin...

Re: Nosler 2nds - .204 40gr

Thanks for the info, fellas. I only sprung on the Nosler 40grs as I heard that there is a very good chance that they will do OK in the NEF, while the Hornady 40grs seem to have the most problems in the same rifles. Of course, I already have thought about if they don't work, what will I do? The answe...

Nosler 2nds - .204 40gr

Has anyone used these 2nds? Any reports? Of course, as usual, I jumped on them first and am asking questions later - now that I have 500 on the way ($58 shipped), I'm curious. In case anyone is interested, Nosler is now using a site called http://www.bivwak.com as an auction site for their bul...

Re: differences in bullet diameters

Is it possible that you got a bunch of bullets that were for the .22 Hornet? Many of the older Hornets were set up for the .223 bullets (vs. the .224s), and that is what you usually see them for.

Re: NOT .204, but NEW 20 gr. Nosler FB HP .172 caliber bullets

I can't speak to the .172s, but I have the .204s from both Midway and Midsouth, and they appear to be 100% identical (shape, finish, HP opening, weight). I know that Midway was carrying the .204s some time before they popped up at Midsouth, but at about the same time Midsouth advertised them, I saw ...

Re: NOT .204, but NEW 20 gr. Nosler FB HP .172 caliber bullets

In case anyone is interested in these, I believe they are the same ones marketed by Midsouth as their "Varmint Nightmares": http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/i ... =000041720

Re: Powder query

In regards to the Remington 6-1/2 primer, I found it interesting that Remington states (in its Online Help Center - query Primers) that it shouldn't be used in the .17 REM, .222 REM or the .223 REM - with no mention of the .204 Ruger cartridge in the same breath (or even specifically why it shouldn'...

Some other currently listed prices: Midsouth is listing them as ON ORDER, with the 100ct for $14.98 and the 250ct at $35.41. Grafs shows them as OUT OF STOCK, with the 100ct at $17.99 and the 250ct at $42.79. Powder Valley is listing them as OUT OF STOCK, with the 100ct at $16.20 and the 250ct at $3...
