Guy what is your reasoning from switching from barnes to berger? Longer range, bullet cost, just want to try a different bullet? Please explain.

Re: 204um Praire Dog Postal Shoot
Waldo- Planning to head to the range on Thursday. Are we to shoot 3 or 5 shot groups? Can I shoot a group on the p dog at 100 and another group at 200 on another spot on the p dog and then mark which is which or should I just shoot 100 or 200 yards for simplicity? Thanks for helping out the rookie!

Re: How to best clean these cases?
Because we're (I'm) anal! For me, after going thru all the trouble of prepping and uniforming cases, working up loads, it is nice to have ammunition that looks and shoots better than anything you buy in a box. It also helps you look for any abnormalities and cracks as you're going through the steps....

Re: 25/06 bullet selection.
I would try the 110 nosler accubond or 115 partition and use whichever is most accurate for all game that should be hunted with a 25 caliber rifle.

Re: Can Elk Swim?
Very nice pics! Thanks for sharing! I really need to go sight in my muzzleloader now. Deer hair is hollow helps them swim, so I'd guess elk hair must be the same. Whitetail have a better rudder though

Re: How to best clean these cases?
I tumble my brass before I resize it because I don't like to pick flasholes. And, if I neck size, I don't have to worry about cleaning any lube off later. After I sift the brass and media over a bucket, I bang two at a time together until I get everything out of the case and so on. It's a little bit...

Re: Scope for a 17HMR.
For what you described, I would look hard at the bushnell banner line or look at a used higher quality scope. A fine duplex is very nice for small varmints.

Re: I am looking for a new bi-pod. Any suggestions?
SilverFox has got the set up I believe. I would love to own a harris swivel with the leg notches. What I have is a 13-27 outers (harris copy) for sitting and a 9-13 notched legs for prone shooting. For colorado big game hunting, I think a shooting stick can't be beat. Wanna check out the new primos ...

Re: 204 case trimming
Not sure why Lee said they won't make you a 204 case length gage cuz the lady I spoke to said they would. Anyway, I'm sure anything from Wilson is top notch. I'm just trying to save 20 bucks on the lee and see what I can't come up with. Wish me luck, or it will be a $5 loss lol.
