Re: Anyone have some loads for 39 GR Sierras over TAC?
Thanks Silverfox... I'm still somewhat new to reloading so try not to make loads up as I go too much, but I do understand that published loads are guidelines and not to be taken for the gospel. I have also searched here, at Saubier, and all over on line for some TAC/39 gr BK recipes but have found n...

Anyone have some loads for 39 GR Sierras over TAC?
Hi all,
TAC is my powder of choice tight now and I want to see if it will work pushing 39 gr Sierra BK's.
Does anyone have some starting and max load numbers I may be able to use as a starting point?
thanks!

60 once-fired .204 Hornady brass FS
On-line 50 new go for ~$24 plus shipping so $20 to your door for 60 once-fired sounds like a reasonable starting point?

forum member favorite load spreadsheet?
arrg! Didn't there used to be a on-line spreadsheet with favorite loads for members here? I have looked for an hour on this site and can't find a link.
Or, am I thinking of some other site? (*ARE* there any other sites? I didn't think so!!)
thanks,

Re: case trimmer
Cool looking trimmer. May have to give that a try....
What's the final case length if you trim a .204 with the .223 trimmer?

Re: case trimmer
I have a Wilson but mine is old and can only be mounted on bench vice, which means trimming my my garage. You haven't seen my garage! :eew: So, I have considered another alternative that I have read on the internet: Some guys on the internet are taking $4.95 Lee case trimmers in 22-250, and mounting...

Re: So i bit the Bullet...... On a new 204..
My .204 VLS is *THE* most accurate gun I own. I think yours will grow on you!
Congrats on the purchase!

Re: what is your #1 bullet choice?
I'm shooting a CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar and a Remington 700 VLS, both with 1:12 twists. I'll be shooting critters ranging in size from ground squirrels and p-dogs (up to 500+ yards) up to possibly coyotes (I'll keep those shots under 200-300 yards) and of course, punching paper. I will add that my Remi...

what is your #1 bullet choice?
I have two 204's I am going to begin reloading for. I'm looking to buy a couple 250 count packs to start. What is your bullet of choice that seems to just always work well for you?

Re: load that mimics Hornady 40 GR factory fodder?
Thanks Glen for getting me hooked up! Waldo, I am shooting a Remington 700 VLS w/Bushenll Elite 7-21 scope and a CZ 527 kevlar varmint with a Nikon Monarch 6.5-20. The VLS is the most accurate gun I own. It's pure stock, with no trigger work done to it and nothing bedded or otherwise tweaked. It wil...

load that mimics Hornady 40 GR factory fodder?
New member here! Been lurking for a while, finally got the mods to let me in Glad to finally be posting!
Just curious,
Is there a handload that is kind of universally accepted as a good starting point for duplicating the Hornady factory 40 GR load?
thanks!
