Re: First test fire today
Humm, I'm confused. You have a RR lower with a DPMS trigger ? RR has a much better trigger than DPMS . Be that as it may be; about the powder. I liked 10X ; but it is VERY sensitive to temp. changes ! A very good powder for the 223 in ARs is 2520. Hope this helps.

Re: AR15 Trigger solutions????
I recon this has been discussed; but I didn't read all the posts so here's my two cents. You can pay more; but you can't beat the RR two stage match trigger. Now, if you want to make that trigger into a benchrest trigger; it is simple. I think the RR is the only trigger that has the disconnect arran...

Re: My AR is finally here!!!
shotgunred, I just re read my reply and see a glaring mistake !! I said I replaced the trigger spring; when in fact it is the disconnect spring ! Big difference ! Sure hope that didn't get used by anyone. My bad ! Yeah, the disconnect spring and I should also say that when you mike yours, just get t...

Re: Carey Custom rifle
Hey Malazan, you really should check out Rock River's two stage match triggers before you buy one of the others. You can get them from Brownell's and even Rock River. Then , if you REALLLLY want a bench rest trigger; simply take out the disconnect spring and replace it with one .005" thinner. N...

Re: My latest AR 15
Allen, sorry I'm late with this and hope you'll catch it. First, great uppers don't come cheap ! I get mine ( and I've had four built by him) from http://www.Insight Shooting Systems.com. Lee attends to the minutest of details because he's a perfectionist. My lowers are now all Rock Rivers with thei...

Re: DPMS or Bushmaster?
I agree with captqc; Rock River has THE best trigger. But, you can buy it and put it in any lower. A friend of mine bought a DPMS AR10 in 308 and it is superb ! Smoothest bore I have ever cleaned, and it shoots awesome. Can't say any more than that.

Re: Why I load to 2.247" Cartridge Overall Length. Make sense?
Oriley, I too load an AR . I know what you're saying. As you astutely know, ogive be darned when loading an AR ! It's all about the mag. length. My upper builder, Lee Mosher of Insight Shooting Systems, knows from a lot of experience what the COAL needs to be. Both my calibers have the exact same se...

My latest AR 15
I just got my AR15 upper from Insight Shooting Systems and it's a Beast ! Think I'll call it "Wicked Wanda, the Beast". Lee Mosher builds very fine uppers. extremely accurate uppers, and all of mine are shooting in the 3s. I have now three of his uppers. This latest one is in .223 A.I. The...

Re: My AR is finally here!!!
Oooo, your rig looks great ! It looks like a long barrel; is it 24 " ? As for rings, I use a rather expensive but danged good set of TPS- Tactical Precision Systems rings. My scopes are 30mm with 50 mm obj.s so I use their med. height rings. Love them. Have two and another coming on my next upp...

Remy, you gonna luv that rig ! I watched my son shoot his at 200 yards and whacked out a five shot group under one inch ! That's right, 200 yds, five shots under one inch ! Can't remember which ammo he used though. Beats the heck outta my Ruger.

Re: Vortex Optics
I have a Vortex 6.5 x20 x 50 Viper on a PD gun. I love it ! Has the BDC reticule. I only have a very small and personal nit pik and that's the crosshairs are a bit fat. But, really, that scope has helped me shoot in the 3s and 4s and PDs sure nuff didn't like them ! I guess you have to match target ...
