I have had very good luck with 40gr V-max factory loads on coyotes. I would guess that I have killed 10 in the last 2 years with them and probably 7-8 have dropped dead with out any exit holes. The other 2-3 were poor shot placement that could not be blamed on the bullet.
Not sure I can tell you the perfect scope mount but I can tell you how I mounted the scope on my AR. I just put a Leupold 4.5x14x40 on my AR using an Armalite one piece mount. I read a lot of good things about the mount and am pretty happy with it. I would maybe want the scope a little higher but I ...
I have recently put together an AR using a ER Shaw barrel. So far it seems to be a pretty decent shooter. Good enough to take a coyote at 175+ yards. Haven't had a chance to shoot any real serious groups but what I have shot are not bad.

Here is a pic of my new .204 AR. I haven't shot it much yet but looks like it is going to be a decent shooter. Specs: ER Shaw 24" heavy barrel, Sun Devil billet lower, RRA 2 stage trigger, Magpul PRS stock, Hogue grip, Armalite scope mount and Leupold 4.5x14 http://www.fototime.com/04608EC90CA9...
