Re: Tell us about yourself...

My name is Eric, and I have been a member for about a year, but due to an extreemly busy year (one in which my dream has come true, and now am in Montana) I am posting again. I still have not got a .204 yet, but that should happen any time now. Now I gotta get out there and smoke some of these big M...

Re: Greetings from Iraq

Well, Bushymonster, first off, thanks for the handshake offer. A man can never have enough people looking out for him. However, let's keep political talk aside, as comments like that about my Commander in Chief may offend some, and outright piss off others. Like him or hate him, he is doing what he ...

Re: 204 barrel life?

yeah, would you keep us informed on that please? There are a lot of guys on other sites shooting from the hip about the .204 being a barrel burner. I would LOVE to hush them all up! LOL

Re: Greetings from Iraq

Heck no, when I get out, all I want to do is hunt, trap, and fish! LOL, I know, maybe a pipedream, but one I am gonna give a good hard try. :P

Re: Greetings from Iraq

I am a jet engine mechanic on the F-16's, so most Army related questions directed my way will just be second hand information. If you want to hear about warheads on foreheads, then I am the man to ask

Re: Greetings from Iraq

If I can add my perspective. We beat the Germans 60 years ago, and we are still there. I know, apples and oranges, but Iran is the new "cold war" type of threat. Also, the US has over 100 million dollars slated for improvements here at balad AB. That is a lot of construction that we will b...

Re: Greetings from Iraq

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Trust me, nobody over here has a shred of respect for any mainstream media "journalists" anymore. After seeing what is REALLY going on over here, we all now know that there is a serious agenda going on over at CNN, MSNBC, and the other networks. But i digre...

Re: Greetings from Iraq

Alright, someone else over here missing out on all the hunting back home. Oldschool, I am here at Balad AB, or as you know it, LSA Anaconda. Where is Camp Liberty in relation to us? We are about 45 miles NNW of Baghdad. I have seen one jackyl here myself, but the thing that i am impressed with the m...

Re: 204 Ruger in the AR platform

Thanks, Bad Dad and Old Turtle. If I go with the .204, I probably will forego the brake, but if I get the .223, then I might just have to get the brake installed.

Re: 204 Ruger in the AR platform

OK, all you .204 AR guys. I am going to get one built (Dtech) and was wondering what everyone's opinion on the compensator is. Is it really necessary on the .204?

Re: Tell us about yourself...

Eric here, I live east of Denver, CO. I am in the Air Force, where I am a jet engine mechanic on the F-16. Currently, I am in Iraq, but should be home soon. I do not yet have a .204, but am planning on getting a Dtech soon chambered in that caliber. My passions are pheasant, turkey, big game, and pr...
