Re: Well I did it I bought a PreyMaster caller
I bought this one it's not bad but leaves much to be desired in my opinion. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0039508228110a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=johnny+stewart&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall...

.300 Win Mag
Other than that I can't think of too many calibers that will have the Energy at 1000 to put down a deer that won't have barrel wear or have expensive brass. Tough criteria.

Not going to tell you they won't work but this is what I was told by Siera. I had a buddy that was shooting blitz kings out of his .220 swift and we actually had a bullet come apart on the hide and make a small surface wound. He put him down with a second shot thats how we know. I got curious and em...

Re: Ruger M77 Hawkeye
Looking at the stainless version in .280 Rem going to try to find a load for the 140gr Tipped tripple shok bullet. It will be a back up rifle when I go for my moose and elk hunts. But also be used on deer when the conditions are bad.

Ruger M77 Hawkeye
Would you buy one? I like the rifle but have been told by alot of people not to go near a Ruger center fire. One man is a guy I hunt with every year, said he bought a ruger and it was junk. Hated everything about it. Now most people I talk to are refering to Rugers bought 10 or more years ago, How a...

Re: .300 Rem Ultra Mag - report
My uncle bought a similar gun (remington LSS). He breaked it with a vias and it's about on par with his featherlight 30-06 pushing 180gr. He also had a premium recoil pad (lims I think) installed. It's not bad at all to shoot and the vias is alot quieter than the breaks I am use to when standing bes...

Re: Vmax ok for coyotes?
I had a buddy that was shooting blitz kings (same idea as the v-max) out of his .220 swift and we actually had a bullet come apart on the hide and make a small surface wound. He put him down with a second shot thats how we know. I got curious and emailed Sierra. If the v-max is the same I would say ...

Re: Ruger Target grey finish
Thanks for the info. I was going to go to leupold direct to order the custom scope if one would match. However i can't seem to get an email response and with my work hours can't seem to get them on the phone either. Was just hoping maybe someone would know if one of there colors would match.

Ruger Target grey finish
Does anybody know if any of the leupold custom finished scope colors match the finish on the Ruger Target? I would have to order the scope online and would hate for it to look really bad. I have tried to get answers from Leupold but have not recieved a response. Thanks.

First Question new member
I have been a lurker for some time but have finally joined and I have my first question.
Is there a synthetic stainless rifle with a detachable box magazine in .204 ruger other than the Tikka Varmint? My buddy is looking for a rifle with that description and is having a hard time. Thanks in advance
