Re: Finally got out for some prairie poodling. *Graphic art work
Great pics!! I haven't been on this site in a long while. Hardly got any shooting in this past summer. I'd like to get in some `yote shooting this fall/winter. Is the ARFS an exclusive club? Are you accepting members? lol. The "ARFS" club is definitely not exclusive. If you would like a T...

%&#$ snow
Getting kind of tired of this crappy cold and snow.
My .204 sits forlornly in my gun cabinet waiting patiently (more than me) for the snow to disappear and the gophers start popping up. With about 400 rounds of loaded 32gr Vmax ready to go, I can't wait.

Re: Camoing my gun?
get an old burlap bag and cut it into 2 - 3 inch wide strips....just wrap the rifle up and stitch the end to the wraps...cheap, fast, effective.

Re: Another PD Hunt on 10-29-2008--Graphic Photos AGAIN!!!
Thnx SF, Its my "go-to" center fire gopher gun. I have a non .204 gopher rifle that I need to practice up on. Its a Remington SPS 700 "Varmint" heavy barrel in .223 that I've got about 350 40gr Vmax's loaded up for. I took it out to the range last weekend and after it was dialed ...

Re: Another PD Hunt on 10-29-2008--Graphic Photos AGAIN!!!
I concur with my fellow Albertans, I too am jealous. Winter has set in here and gopher shooting is put to bed til next year. A bad shooting is still better than a good day working. My best day this past summer involved meeting with 4 freinds to shoot a farm east of Edmonton. Well, 3 didn't show and ...

10/22 front sight
On a 10/22 carbine, how is the front sight band attached to the barrel? Is it silver soldered on? I want to remove mine but I want to know how much hassle I'm in for.

Good Lord...
PhotoBucket says, "Oops, we goofed...your account has been restored.
I kinda want to say something smarta$$ed back to them about being more attentive...but THAT might get my account deleted.

Re: Nuking gophers...GRAPHIC PICS
Can you believe it??? I've lost my "PhotoBucket" account due to violating their terms of service...I can only think it was due to the gopher pics.
I've emailed them for an explantion as to what I did wrong......we'll see.
Sad....

Nuking gophers...GRAPHIC PICS
Went out on a gopher blast yesterday...used my .22 semi so much it finally would jam every second shot. So out came the Ruger .204 *Target* and started knocking gophers into the next time zone..(a piece at a time :D) Two of us blasted between 600 to 800 dirt pigs in an 8 1/2 hr time span. I was arme...

Re: First trip to dogtowns this weekend
cleaning kit and some basic gun tools. I had to field strip one of my .22 semis at camp on a shooting table beside the truck to clean it while waiting for the camp stove to heat dinner. Yeah....sunscreen, lots of it. I forgot mine and got my arms burnt. Just back from a 3 day gopher trip to southern...

Re: Man 8, Gopher 1 - Canadian's need our help!
Handguns are not banned. They're "restricted", meaning you need a special license (not terribly hard to get), and you cannot (in most cases) take them hunting but only to a shooting range. CV32 has hit it exactly on the head. Our ATT (Authorization To Transport) allows us to take our rest...

Re: Man 8, Gopher 1 - Canadian's need our help!
Well, as an Albertan I can only say these must have been transplanted easterners that were using the "torch". There are a LOT of .204 owners that I personally know here in Edmonton that say the same as I. I'm hooked up with about 7 other guys that go on "Safari" about 4 or...
