Re: Longest revolver shot?
Here's the result of catching one of Skippy's pals doing a recon thing on us from 62 yards out on his elevated mound with my Ruger MK-I w/red dot aboard. Much too close for the 204, but just about perfect for the trusty rimfire! What are you talking about?...Too close??? I had a spotter with binocs...

Re: Laid for 32grain V-Max
Ok, Rifle is a Ruger M77 Mk II *Target* in .204, 26" heavy barrel, 1 in 12 twist with a Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40.... Using factory Hornady cases once fired in my rifle, they get reloaded with Hornady 32gr Vmax bulets, 27 gr of H4895, with CCI 400 primers. I put 10 rounds in 1 inch at 100 yrd...

Re: need "where to" prairie dog info, please
ROFL!! One week and no responses. You actually think people are going to give up where they have good success hunting P-dogs to someone else? Sorry to say, you're going to have to get out and drive and FIND places yourself. Thats what I did. Now I have a buddy who has access to over 35,000 acres of ...

Re: Almost here!!
Way up here in Edmonton Ab, We still have about 12 to 14 inches of snow on the ground so it will be a short while yet. The temps are getting warmer tho. About 6 or 8 of us have a safari planned for the long weekend in May. Taking an extra day off work and heading to southern Alberta maybe into south...

Re: case trimmer?
Of course the store that I frequent ADVERTISES they carry Forrester but when I get there...nada, zippo :x Guess I gotta go to Forrester's web site and find another dealer. Well, the cases I'm reloading are factory Hornady .204 32gr. Vmax's "once fired" from my rifle. Does that mean they're...

Re: case trimmer?
I'm using mostly Lee equipment but Lee doesn't make a case trimmer for the .204 They'll custom make one for $20 US.
Is there any other company that makes one that can be bought off the shelf? I'm in Edmonton Canada.

Man..I go on a gopher blast with my .22 semi it ain`t hard AT ALL to go thru 400 500 shells in a days shoot. lets see....500 x 8...uhh 8 x 0 = 0,...8 x the next 0 = 0, 5 x 8 = 40, + the first and second zeros...hmm...4000 passes to clean my gu...

Factory Ruger Trigger
I have a Ruger M77 MkII "target" in .204 My question is the factory trigger adjustable? I only bought the gun in August so its one of the newer models. I really like the trigger in it now and have no plans to change it out, but I was wondering if I could make it an even lighter pull? Rick ...

Re: M-14 for hunting
Well, I just finished ordering one. Yes Rick, I tend to agree with the "get what you pay for"...We'll see how it does. All I want it for is a low expence deer gun. I've got a Norinco 1911, and a Norinco Sks I bought new in '86. Though the trigger on the pistol is harsh (like about a 140 lb...

M-14 for hunting
I know its not Ruger content but...... A couple of stores I've bought guns from now have shipments of brand new M-14 copies by Norinco finally in. http://www.marstar.ca/gf-norinco/M-14S.shtm I've never owned ANY M-14 and I was wondering what the general consensus is on accuracy with this gun? I was ...
